God Wants to Give You Favor!

The Year of the LORD’s Favor; Instead of ashes, God wants to give you favor!
Ashes was a sign of uncleanliness, sorrow, loss, a way of purifying the unclean. It was a sign of grief, humiliation, or penitence. Ashes
on the head was one of the ordinary signs of mourning for the dead, as when “Tamar put ashes on her head …. and went on crying” (2 Samuel 13:19).
This morning the LORD begin to say to me that many are in the dungeons
of captivity and they are in a place of ashes!
But, I heard Him say, The Spirit of the Sovereign LORD is on me because the LORD has anointed me to proclaim good news (preach, teach, and to prophesy) to the poor.
on somebody the LORD has a way of escape for you; a plan to bless and to not curse you!)
He has sent me (those called to the Five-Fold Ministry) to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness
for the prisoners, to proclaim the year of the LORD’s favor and the Day of Vengeance of our God, (to defend the gospel) to comfort all who mourn, and provide for those who grieve in Zion to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of
joy instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair.
They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the LORD for the display of his splendor, (Isaiah 61:1-3).
Only Kings can
bestow honor upon you; a crown of beauty instead of ashes this is why we as a people need to learn to humble ourselves and to learn to get in His presence with ALL humility!
Abraham a man of faith and a friend of God recognized there was
a way to come to God if he wanted His help, or even for God to hear him.
“Abraham answered and said, ‘Behold, I have undertaken to speak to the LORD, I who am but dust and ashes. Suppose five of the fifty righteous are
lacking. Will you destroy the whole city for lack of five?’ And he said, ‘I will not destroy it if I find forty-five there’” Genesis 18:27–28.
So many are failing to remember
where their help comes from and without God you can do nothing!
Abraham was a man of Great faith and not only did he pray to God but he had an unselfish heart that caused him to intercede for those that were also in ashes and needed God’s
He begin bargaining to God to please spare the people and said, “May the LORD not be angry, but let me speak just once more. What if only ten can be found there?”
He answered, “For
the sake of ten, I will not destroy it.“
When the LORD had finished speaking with Abraham, he left, and Abraham returned home (Genesis 18: 32-33).
However, He could not even find ten souls in Sodom
and Gomorrah. It was so wicked, because the people refused to humble themselves in sackcloth and ashes to receive beauty for ashes!
The LORD is coming. Will He find this type of faith on earth?
CALL IS BEING MADE!
