FIRE BY NIGHT
By Glenn H. Jackson
"Reflections Upon Reflections" [of The Father's Heart]
...."You, in Your great compassion, did not forsake them in the wilderness; The pillar of cloud did not leave them by day, to guide them on their way, or the pillar of fire by night, to light for them the
way in which they were to go".... Nehemiah 9:19 NASB
THE NECESSARY "SURGERY"
Words of prophecy:
* "Open-heart surgery" at the hand of My Spirit - one can either submit themselves to it or fall prey to the inevitable hardening of arteries
[hardness of heart].
...."For the Word that God speaks is alive and full of power [making it active, operative, energizing, and effective]; it is sharper than
any two-edged sword, penetrating to the dividing line of the breath of life [soul] and [the immortal] spirit, and of joints and marrow [of the deepest parts of our nature], exposing and sifting and analyzing and judging the very thoughts and purposes of the
heart".... Hebrews 4:12 The Amplified Translation
When one is putting themselves in a position daily to grow spiritually then, sometimes, where we may be falling short seems magnified when divine
Light shows us things. However, although it may seem unpleasant for a time, in reality, the Father is exposing and removing anything that needs to be removed. It is important to remember that the work He is doing in us in these days of preparation is Eternal
- and we will never have to pass that way again as we allow the Holy Spirit to do any necessary "surgery".
...."And have you [completely] forgotten the divine word of appeal and encouragement
in which you are reasoned with and addressed as sons? 'My son, do not think lightly or scorn to submit to the correction and discipline of the Lord, nor lose courage and give up and faint when you are reproved or corrected by Him; For the Lord corrects and
disciplines everyone whom He loves, and He punishes, even scourges, every son whom He accepts and welcomes to His heart and cherishes'. You must submit to and endure [correction] for discipline; God is dealing with you as with sons. For what son is there whom
his father does not [thus] train and correct and discipline? Now if you are exempt from correction and left without discipline in which all [of God's children] share, then you are illegitimate offspring and not true sons [at all]. [Prov. 3:11, 12.] Moreover,
we have had earthly fathers who disciplined us and we yielded [to them] and respected [them for training us]. Shall we not much more cheerfully submit to the Father of spirits and so [truly] live? For [our earthly fathers] disciplined us for only a short period
of time and chastised us as seemed proper and good to them; but He disciplines us for our certain good, that we may become sharers in His own holiness. For the time being no discipline brings joy, but seems grievous and painful; but afterwards it yields a
peaceable fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it [a harvest of fruit which consists in righteousness - in conformity to God's will in purpose, thought, and action, resulting in right living and right standing with God]".... Hebrews 12:5-11
The Amplified Translation
Prayer of Proclamation:
Father, we thank You and praise You for the precious "open-heart" surgery You are doing in each of us - "open-heart" surgery
that is preparing us perfect to both enter into and fulfill ALL that You have created us for, in Christ. And we declare it DONE [on an ongoing basis] in Jesus' Name - to Your greatest Glory. Amen.
...."For we are God's [own] handiwork [His workmanship], recreated in Christ Jesus, [born anew] that we may do those good works which God predestined [planned beforehand] for us [taking paths which He prepared ahead of time], that we should walk in them [living
the good life which He prearranged and made ready for us to live]".... Ephesians 2:10 The Amplified Translation
...."Therefore, brethren, be all the more diligent to make certain about His calling
and choosing you; for as long as you practice these things, you will never stumble; for in this way the entrance into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ will be abundantly supplied to you".... 2 Peter 1:10-11 NASB
