FIRE BY NIGHT

By Glenn H. Jackson

"Reflections Upon Reflections" [of The Father's Heart]

...."You, in Your great compassion, did not forsake them in the wilderness; The pillar of cloud did not leave them by day, to guide them on their way, or the pillar of fire by night, to light for them the way in which they were to go".... Nehemiah 9:19 NASB

IT IS HOW WE "CHOOSE" TO HANDLE OUR PRESENT CIRCUMSTANCES - ESPECIALLY IN ADVERSITY - THAT REVEAL WHERE OUR TRUE HEART LOYALTY LIES

Words of prophecy:

*       The key to one receiving the "fullness" of My promises [Covenant blessings]is to continually "speak" Truth [a revelation of My Word] over "fact" [that which is seen and discerned according to the physical circumstances].

...."Therefore we do not become discouraged (utterly spiritless, exhausted, and wearied out through fear). Though our outer man is [progressively] decaying and wasting away, yet our inner self is being [progressively] renewed day after day. For our light, momentary affliction (this slight distress of the passing hour) is ever more and more abundantly preparing and producing and achieving for us an everlasting weight of glory [beyond all measure, excessively surpassing all comparisons and all calculations, a vast and transcendent glory and blessedness never to cease!], Since we consider and look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen; for the things that are visible are temporal (brief and fleeting), but the things that are invisible are deathless and everlasting".... 2 Corinthians 4:16-18 The Amplified Translation

...."For we walk by faith [we regulate our lives and conduct ourselves by our conviction or belief respecting man's relationship to God and divine things, with trust and holy fervor; thus we walk] not by sight or appearance".... 2 Corinthians 5:7 The Amplified Translation

It is how we "choose" to handle our present circumstances - especially in adversity - that reveal where our true heart loyalty lies, to ourselves [through fear] or the Father and His Word/Will [through faith and trust]. Walking by "revelation" is the only way to go. "Outward circumstances  [appearances]can lie - a revelation of the Father's Heart and Will cannot.

...."Do not judge according to appearance, but judge with righteous judgment [a discernment that is based upon a revelation]".... John 7:24 NASB

...."God is not a man, that He should lie, Nor a son of man, that He should repent; Has He said, and will He not do it? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good?".... Numbers 23:19 NASB

Prayer of Proclamation:

Father, we thank You and praise You that You have raised us up a people who walk by revelation and not by sight - a people who are not moved or influenced by anything that is apart from a revelation of Your Word/Will. And we declare it DONE [on an ongoing basis] in Jesus' Name - to Your greatest Glory. Amen.

...."For we walk by faith [we regulate our lives and conduct ourselves by our conviction or belief respecting man's relationship to God and divine things, with trust and holy fervor; thus we walk] not by sight or appearance [but by revelation]".... 2 Corinthians 5:7 The Amplified Translation
