They Did Not Honor HIM!

By Catharina Schouten-Meijer

Signs of the Last Days:

“21 Because, even though they in actual fact knew G-d, they did not ascribe Him kavod (glory) as G-d or give hodayah (thanksgiving) to Him, but became filled with hevel (futility, vanity, emptiness, worthlessness) in their thinking, and their senseless levavot were darkened. 22 Claiming to be chachamim (wise ones), they became kesilim (fools), 23 And traded in the kavod (glory) of the incorruptible G-d for the mere likeness of the demut (image, icon) of corruptible man, birds, beasts, and reptiles.

24 Therefore, G-d (in wrath) delivered them over in the ta’avot of their levavot to tum’a (uncleanness) to the dishonoring and perverting of their bodies among themselves: 25 They traded in HaEmes Hashem (the Truth of G-d) for sheker, for a lie, and worshiped and served HaBri’ah (the Creature, the Creation) rather than HaBo’re (the Creator), hamvorach l’olamim. Omein (who is blessed forever. Amen),”   Kehillah in Rome 1:21-25 (OJB).

“21 because, although they know who God is, they do not glorify him as God or thank him. On the contrary, they have become futile in their thinking; and their undiscerning hearts have become darkened. 22 Claiming to be wise, they have become fools! 23 In fact, they have exchanged the glory of the immortal God for mere images, like a mortal human being, or like birds, animals or reptiles!

24 This is why God has given them up to the vileness of their hearts’ lusts, to the shameful misuse of each other’s bodies. 25 They have exchanged the truth of God for falsehood, by worshipping and serving created things, rather than the Creator — praised be he forever.  Amen,”   Romans 1:21-25 (CJB).

No More Oil!

The story of Chanukkah begins in the reign of Alexander the Great. Alexander conquered Syria, Egypt and Palestine, but allowed the lands under his control to continue observing their own religions and retain a certain degree of autonomy.

Under this relatively benevolent rule, many Jews assimilated much of Hellenistic culture, adopting the language, the customs and the dress of the Greeks, in much the same way that Jews in America today blend into the secular American society.

More than a century later, a successor of Alexander, Antiochus IV was in control of the region.

He began to oppress the Jews severely, placing a Hellenistic priest in the Temple, massacring Jews, prohibiting the practice of the Jewish religion, and desecrating the Temple by requiring the sacrifice of pigs (a non-kosher animal) on the altar.

Two groups opposed Antiochus: a basically nationalistic group led by Mattathias the Hasmonean and his son Judah Maccabee, and a religious traditionalist group known as the Chasidim, the forerunners of the Pharisees (no direct connection to the modern movement known as Chasidism).

They joined forces in a revolt against both the assimilation of the Hellenistic Jews and oppression by the Seleucid Greek government.  The revolution succeeded, and the Temple was rededicated.

According to tradition as recorded in the Talmud, at the time of the rededication, there was very little oil left that had not been defiled by the Greeks.

Oil was needed for the menorah (candelabrum) in the Temple, which was supposed to burn throughout the night every night.

There was only enough oil to burn for one day, yet miraculously, it burned for eight days, the time needed to prepare a fresh supply of oil for the menorah.

An eight-day festival was declared to commemorate this miracle.  Note that the holiday commemorates the miracle of the oil, not the military victory: Jews do not glorify war. (Source: http://www.jewfaq.org /)

“Chanukah the Jewish feast is coming.  But in the end MY Children will be as the Menorah a bright shining light in this dark world and every knee will bow to Me!

“There is no more oil in my temple of living stones,” says The LORD.

“It is time that My Menorah will shine it`s lights.

Meaning: Each of My Children has his or her own task.  My light must shine out of them.  My church My Bride must bring MY light into this dark world.

You need to come to the end of self, so I can show WHO I AM!  All the lights need to point out to Me!”

Thus saith The LORD:

“My children, I AM as I AM, and I have not changed!  O yes, many say that I AM no longer as I AM in the Bible.  But in fact I have not changed, but you have.

There are those who are busy with receiving the blessings.

Not a day goes by, that they talked about anything else then getting blessed.

There are those who brought instability to MY Word!

One group thinks that being My child, means it is about having pain, war, heartache and problems.  They really believe that they can only be Mine as long as they suffer!

The other group thinks the other way around.

They use MY Word to try to get what they want!  New cars, new houses, beautiful clothes, and possessions.

Read the story of Joseph and then understand why his beard was shaved before he met the King!

His own authority was removed, and his character shaped in such a state that nothing could draw him away from Me!

No money fame or power could seduce him. He worshiped and obeyed Me his God!

There are those who hate MY apple of the eye Israel and there are those who worship my people, more than they worship ME!

The land has become more important than I AM.

There are people who want Israel to disappear and say that I have replaced them for the church.  They forget about MY Word.

Israel natural branch of the olive tree and the believer out of the Gentiles grafted in the olive tree.  And Yeshua the root of that tree supports both.  ONE Nation One Flock as I AM their God and their shepherd!

Everyone is so busy with their own plans and their own dreams, and how to get those dreams into reality!

But I AM My children, and I have not changed!

I AM a jealous God and I want to have the first place in your heart and your life!

Gethsemane which means the crushing of olives, so oil can be produced is still here.  I will allow pressure and trouble, so you come to the end of yourself and your own strength.

I will allow difficult times as long as needed to bring you to your knees to cry out to Me!

I have a plan it is written and so it shall be done!  I AM still here, and I AM waiting for you!

Repent and turn back to Me with all of your heart and all of your thoughts.

So many search in different places and take things out of different religions and listen to different voices which I AM has not chosen for Himself to BE HIS VOICE!

You take those things YOU love and mix them together as a piece of pie and then convince yourself that it will taste well and suit you well!

I AM will never allow anyone, to MOCK Me and MY Word.

It is time to come back to ME wholeheartedly and with everything you are and have!

For this is MY plan that every knee will bow for ME!  The creator of heaven and earth.  God of Avraham, Yitzchak and Yaakov.

I see everything.  I read the hearts.  I know your plans.

I know you say in your heart : “He will not see this nor know this…. our God will not do things which will hurt me and do things my flesh does not like.”

Be still and know that I AM your God.  I have not changed, and I urge you to turn around make Teshuvah and come back to Me!”

Blessings and Shalom over you!
