"The Lord Says, 'It's Time! Come Out of Hiding'"

By Michelle Passey

Come Out of the Baggage That Holds You Back

1 Samuel 10:22, "Therefore they inquired further of the Lord, 'Has the man come here yet?' So the Lord said, 'Behold, he is hiding himself among the baggage."

There are those who have been chosen by God and have not yet stepped out of hiding. Shame, fear, and rejection have held you back. You've struggled to walk in your true identity as sons and daughters. You've questioned and doubted that God would have such great plans for you. You've wondered if you have what it takes. You've entertained thoughts such as, "It's safe here. If I don't step out, I won't risk failure. No one will see my weaknesses or my flaws if I stay in hiding. I can't get hurt if I hide."

Do not sell out to these lies. Come out from the baggage that holds you back, that keeps you from moving forward. Come out of the mindset that keeps you paralyzed, unable to move. Let go of the former things – past failures, past rejections. God is doing a new thing. He's calling you out from among the baggage and leading you into a place of kingship. This place of kingship is where you've always belonged.

He is healing all of the fragmented pieces of the past. There are those who have stepped out by faith and were knocked down and knocked out. The Lord says, "It's time to arise from the ashes. It's time to soar. It's time to be seen." Some have been kept in a place of hiding for a time of preparation and healing; while others have hidden themselves out of fear of being knocked down and knocked out again.

A Peace that Creates Courage

God is calling you out of hiding. He is saying, "It's time!" He is calling you to live a life of complete surrender; a surrender that no longer cares what others think or say. You're a lot stronger now. You've passed tests, remained humble, and have allowed God to search and heal your heart. As you take the steps to move out of hiding, you will experience the reality of the peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). This peace creates courage; a courage to face your enemies head-on without fear of failure and with the ability to walk in absolute faith in the victorious outcome, no matter what comes your way.

God is silencing the voice of the accuser. He is causing even your enemies to be at peace with you. Proverbs 16:7 says, "When a man's ways are pleasing to the Lord, He makes even his enemies to be at peace with him."

A Greater Manifestation of His Glory in Your Life

It's time to believe God! It's time to believe God will do exactly what He said He will do concerning you and your call. It's time for you to step out of hiding and into your identity and into your calling. God has chosen you. He has called you, anointed you, and only you can do what it is that God has called you to do. If you take the steps to come out of hiding, you will begin to see the favor of God in your life in ways you've never experienced.

God says, "Come out of hiding; come experience My glory made manifest in your life." Many of you will begin to see signs and wonders as you step out. People will be set free from the demonic as you walk in obedience to the call that is on your life. You will see radical salvation in your family. You will experience the glory of God manifested in your life and through your life in ways you have only dreamed. This manifestation of His glory will no longer be a dream but a reality.

Keep Your Eyes Locked on Jesus

Isaiah 61:1-3 will keep you focused as you step out of hiding:

"The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me,

Because the Lord has anointed me

To bring good news to the afflicted;

He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted,

"To proclaim liberty to captive,

And freedom to prisoners;

To proclaim the favorable year of the Lord

And the day of vengeance of our God;

To comfort all who mourn,

"To grant those who mourn in Zion,

Giving them a garland instead of ashes,

The oil of gladness instead of mourning,

The mantle of praise instead of a spirit of fainting.

So they will be called oaks of righteousness,

The planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified."

Remember: He keeps you in perfect peace as your eyes are on Him (Isaiah 26:3). Keep your eyes locked on Jesus and come out of hiding!
