Pride Defines The Human Condition

Pride defines the human condition. Our guts are filled with it. Our minds are continually working, our emotions are constantly warring for attention. Surrender to the Lord is not a one time event, it is an ongoing and continual effort. The reward for purposefully trusting Him is being in His presence. He answers swiftly and powerfully when we trust Him. One thing I am keenly aware of is the peace and beauty of His presence which puts a swift end to all my struggle and questions. When He is LORD, there is no more warring in my thinking, and no more runaway emotions. For this, I am continually thankful.

With Revelation of the Deeper Things of God

With revelation of the deeper things of God comes deeper levels of warfare against standing in them. The revelation the Lord is pouring out is of Him and it brings an ever-deepening level of communion. To enter this takes complete dependence on Him. In a word, you have to take your shoes off. Your heart is made pure as you are brought before Him. Without a pure heart you don't stand before Him. Our idea of pure and His idea of pure are worlds apart, His actually hinging on our complete reliance on Him. Pride you don't even realize you have opens the door to warfare, but surrendering to Him cl
