Yes! Fire Begets Fire!
By Johann van der Hoven
Fire Begets Fire!
To carry God’s Fire, you have to first be a man on fire — to be a
man on fire, you need to first be ignited with His Fire!
Within the next two months (January 2020) I will be entering my 30th year of being called into ministry by The LORD.
Thirty years that has been widely varied in the call of God upon my life. Thirty years of being moulded and shaped into varying areas of disciplines in ministry and the operating of the Gifts of the Holy Spirit.
Thirty years of coming to know the mind of Christ, the heart of the Father and the ways of the Holy Spirit.
Also thirty years before I could ever fully accept and come to embrace my ministry
as an apostolic and prophetic missionary of The Holy Spirit — or an apostle of Jesus Christ as it is commonly known today.
Why Thirty Years?
Because being an apostle or a
prophet is not obtained as a position that you receive, or a title that is bestowed upon you.
You do not choose to become one, and neither is there any man that has the authority to ordain you into these
Divinely appointed callings.
These callings come by Divine appointment alone, and those who are called into them come through a process of formation where they are moulded, formed and fired to fit their
There is a lot that goes into the formation of each of these ministry callings. Beginning at the evangelist, who requires the least, to the prophet and on to the apostle, who requires the
most, when it comes to being formed in His Ministry.
It is both an expensive and a precious process of development and of maturing that is never complete without passing through fire.
It is no more true anywhere, that fire begets fire, than when it comes to the final forming process of the apostle and the prophetic ministries. If you are going to be on fire, you will have to come through fire.
Fire does not ignite itself. It is ignited by fire. It is the fire of being formed and the challenging times of reformation in your personal life, the times of going through “fire”, that begets you and ignites you to become a man of
Apostles and prophets carry a high calling. They are called as being the visionaries of God’s heart.
They are sent missionaries
who come to proclaim and establish the current cry of God’s heart among His people.
For this great responsibility and task, they are made, moulded and brought through the fire of being purged to
have a singleness of heart, and purified with eyes that are focused to gracefully both carry the Father’s heart in them, as well as to deliver His heart’s cry among His People.
Time is God’s
anvil, The Holy Spirit His skillful chisel and the process of hardship, His hammer, by which He made (and will continue to make) those He calls to become His eyes, His mouth and His heart in the earth today.
