The Sword and the Scepter!
By Deborah Waldron Fry
The LORD woke me up in the night with this phrase, “The Sword and the Scepter.”
And I saw a Royal Child sitting on a throne receiving these two items into their hands. The
Sword and the Scepter became as one supernatural weapon in his hands for such a time as this.
“Beloved, in these great times of difficulty, your God arises and the enemy is scattered. I have
called you and chosen you to partner with Me, My Royal Child.
I have called you out of darkness and into My Marvelous Light. Into your Hands I place Power and Authority.
I give to you the Sword of the Spirit, the Word, which is the Dunamis POWER of God and the Scepter, which is My Authority over ALL the power of the enemy.
Do not be afraid, Dear One. Be
of good courage. I have not left you as orphans but you have been endued with Power from on high.
You are the Child of the King and joint heir with Christ. I have given you Power and Authority over
ALL demons and to cure diseases.
Your weapons in this world are not carnal but MIGHTY through your God for the pulling down of strongholds. The King has spoken and appointed you and anointed you
for such a time as this.
I have extended My Golden Scepter to you, My Child. You walk in My Favor and Grace. The Sword and the Scepter are one in your hand. Wield it by the Power of the Spirit
and watch the enemies fall…
Rise up, My Warrior in My Authority and MIGHT… It is time!”
SWORD of the Spirit: Power of the
Spirit: dunamis: Divine strength, power, or ability. Miraculous power, marvelous work; inherent power, power residing in a thing by virtue of its nature. The WORD of God.
SCEPTER: A rod or
mace used by a King as a symbol of royal authority. Absolute power and absolute authority that is unrestricted; the right to act in a situation.
“The SCEPTER will not depart from Judah, nor the ruler’s
staff from between His feet, until He to whom it belongs shall come and the obedience of the nations shall be His,” Genesis 49:10.
“Your throne, O God, will last for ever and ever;
a SCEPTER of justice will be the scepter of Your kingdom,” Psalm 45:6.
“So it was, when the king saw Queen Esther standing in the court, that she found favor in his sight, and the
king held out to Esther the golden SCEPTER that was in his hand,” Esther 5:2.
“And Jesus called the twelve together and gave them POWER AND AUTHORITY over all demons and to cure
diseases,” Luke 9:1.
“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the POWER (dunamis) of God unto salvation to every one that believes; to the Jew first, and also to
the Greek,” Romans 1:16.
“Behold, I give you authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means harm you,”
“And has made us kings and priests to His God and Father, to Him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen,” Revelation 1:6.
