A Trail of Blood — A Wake Up Call!
By Gail Manizak
“A Trail of Blood”… The LORD woke me at 3:00 a.m. this morning with this!
One of our Pastors has been teaching on, and talking a lot about
the vertical and horizontal ministry. He told us to share this so, I hope I understood it right. If not, I am sure he will clarify.
As I have thought about it a lot lately, and thought upon
it again, and thought more, I not only agree with him, but have seen ministry both ways.
The horizontal way is frightening, makes me shudder, as some have compromised obedience to The LORD so much that
they have become blind to their own right standing with God.
They disobey, sin, rebel, and minister to others. He, Pastor, was basically speaking of outward sin as I recall, but I woke up this morning
with The LORD showing me… “A Trail of Blood.”
He (Pastor) was saying, many in The Body of Christ are ministering to the people, and after they minister, they go and drink, smoke pot,
do drugs, commit adultery…etc., etc.
But we know God will still Save, Heal and Deliver to answer the prayers of His people nevertheless and in spite of rebellion, but the anointing is gone from
the ministers, and the sad thing is they do not realize it.
They have the right words, the right songs, the right motions, the programs, and the agenda.
think everything is fine as God is doing beautiful things in the service, because that is what He does. God is merciful…
Kind of like “sin in the camp” with Achan, the blessing
was removed when SIN came in and was hidden there…
But; I woke up seeing in the sin in the “inward parts”, the hidden sin, as well as outwardly. Sin such as unforgiveness, disobedience
on the inward parts.
I saw where people hurt one another, with attitudes, rebellion, anger, jealousy, control, manipulation etc., … but never returned to repent and clean up the mess they left.
They just went on to do more Ministry there or somewhere else…
I am referring to ministers and worship leaders and layman alike — no matter your title.
(One day a title won’t matter.).
This is why so much division in the body of Christ, so much wounding, bleeding Christians.
Many do not go to
a brother or sister and resolve issues or agree to disagree making amends; they just go …… leaving the blood and wounds behind.
There is usually a Trail of Blood… The Bible has given
each of us clear instruction on unforgiveness and offense, clear warning also.
Many will not know the presence of God has left them — until its too late.
That is Horizontal Ministry, ministering has become their god at this point.
Vertical Ministry is staying in right relationship with God; staying in obedience, repentance as necessary.
Not one of us is perfect in this body of flesh… but we have instruction from Him and perfection in Him, He paid a high price for us to have His righteousness. This Gift was not cheap, His Grace is not
IF any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father…
Let me leave off here with a short story on myself and unforgiveness, as it is
not always easy to forgive, I know first hand, as you all do to.
When my daughter died in 2010, some of the things her husband did and did not do for her and to her, I found out about and it hurt so bad
and made me so angry — I could not get over it.
I could not even look at him. I felt I hated him.
Most Moms would understand this, but
it was still not right for me…
I ministered at a Church and was to be an example to others, not only that my heart had to be cleansed from this even if I never, ever ministered to anyone, because
“I was not right with God!”
This took 3 days of fasting and prayer on my face before The LORD, asking for Grace and Favor to be able to fully forgive and ask his forgiveness for being so angry
The LORD was gracious, He saw my need and He helped me forgive him and not carry that with me the rest of my life.
I know, not a popular
If you have left a Trail of Blood or wounds…. maybe you might ask The LORD to help you, if you need help.
your sin… don’t compromise your heart and right standing with … sin is only pleasant for a season, might be a good scripture.
