FIRE BY NIGHT
By Glenn H. Jackson
"Reflections Upon Reflections" [of The Father's Heart]
...."You, in Your great compassion, did not forsake them in the wilderness;
The pillar of cloud did not leave them by day, to guide them on their way, or the pillar of fire by night, to light for them the way in which they were to go".... Nehemiah 9:19 NASB
THE SPIRIT OF DISHEARTENMENT
Words of Prophecy:
* The "spirit of disheartenment's" main task is to coerce [compel] My people to the place wherein they forsake the revelation I have placed in their heart in order to escape the "relentless" pursuit of this evil
spirit [on their mind, will and emotions] - and, in doing so [compromising], experience a false peace which, then, confirms that they made the "right" choice when, in reality, they have departed from My Will for their life and ministry.
Satan has released what he has released [lies, division, discouragement, disheartenment etc.] in order to both hinder and, ultimately, destroy My faithful ones. But, now, I shall release what I shall release
- a divine release [in the form of a "series of suddenlies" and glorious connections] that will empower all those who have sought My Will, alone, [at all cost to themselves] to rise "far above" the attacks of the Enemy [Ephesians 2:6], and into the fullness
of their precious "Kingdom-position" and destiny, in Christ [Matthew 6:33].
...."For the vision is yet for the appointed time; It hastens toward the goal and
it will not fail. Though it tarries, wait for it; For it will certainly come, it will not delay. Behold, as for the proud one, His soul is not right within him; But the righteous will live by his faith".... Habakkuk 2:3-4 NASB
If one does not continually guard their heart with ALL diligence in this most critical hour THEN there is a great danger of them slipping into a "sustained" sense of self-pity - and, thus, a "victim-mentality"
[having "allowed" themselves to be influenced by the rejection and reproach of others]. This is precisely the aim of the "spirit of disheartenment" - for if one slips into a "sustained" [maintained] sense of self-pity and "victim mentality" they will SURELY
[at some point]compromise the Will and plan of God for their life and ministry - without exception. But, if one is faithful to guard their heart with ALL diligence - continually refusing to trust in anything [or anyone] apart from a "revelation" of the Father's
Word [Will]THEN there will come a time wherein this vile spirit will be "fully" crushed [devastated, made ineffective] as the "fullness" of the Father's plan unfolds in their life.
To a degree, the operation of this spirit [along with many other "hindering spirits"] has already been harmed greatly through the revelation that the Holy Spirit has brought forth from the Throne Room - exposing its operation and aims to those who are truly
seeking the fullness of their precious destiny, in Christ. In the meantime, as one simply [and continually]accesses the Grace of God [bringing EVERY thought captive to a revelation of His Will in the process], on a daily basis, it is certain that this
spirit will not have any "inroads" in its attempt to "derail" the child of God from the narrow path [Will of the Father]. Simply put: remaining "alert" spiritually goes a long way to keeping it [and every other form of "hindering spirit]" at bay.
Summarizing: it is as one seeks to "abide" in the life of the Cross [obedience unto the continual denial of the self-life]that overcomes the spirit of dis-heartenment. In
many cases, Satan has already fired his "best shot" at those who are truly seeking God and, NOW, it is just simply a matter of continuing to resist him [in faith, love, and obedience] KNOWING that he will be put to flight in stark terror [on a continual basis]
- and, also, that the vision/dream they are holding to will SURELY come to pass [in its fullness] in the "fullness of time".
Three scriptures immediately came
to mind concerning what I just wrote above concerning the Enemy being put to flight:
...."Because of the surpassing greatness of the revelations, for this reason,
to keep me from exalting myself, there was given me a thorn in the flesh, a messenger of Satan to torment me - to keep me from exalting myself! Concerning this I implored the Lord three times that it might leave me. And He has said to me, 'My grace is sufficient
for you, for power is perfected in weakness.' Most gladly, therefore, I will rather boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may dwell in me. Therefore I am well content with weaknesses, with insults, with distresses, with persecutions, with
difficulties, for Christ's sake; for when I am weak, then I am strong".... 2 Corinthians 12:7-10 NASB
...."But He gives a greater grace. Therefore it says, God
is opposed to the proud, but gives Grace to the humble.' Submit therefore to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you".... James 4:6-7 NASB
not be terrified in even one thing by those who are entrenched in their opposition against you [in this case the spirit of disheartenment], which failure on your part to be frightened is an indication of such a nature as to present clear evidence to them of
[their] utter destruction, also clear evidence of your salvation ["soeteria"- deliverance from every temporal evil that came into the earth at the Fall, and which we were redeemed from at the Cross through the Precious Blood of Jesus - Romans 8:1-2], and this
[evidence] from God".... Philippians 1:28 Wuest Translation
Prayer of Proclamation:
Father, we thank
You and praise You that You have raised us up a people who have a deep revelation of their authority in Christ - a people who are continually found devastating Satan and his forces at EVERY turn. And we declare it DONE [on an ongoing basis],
in Jesus' Name - to Your greatest Glory. Amen.
...."You will tread down [devastate] the wicked, for they will be ashes under the soles of your feet on the day
which I am preparing', says the LORD of hosts".... Malachi 3:16-4:3 NASB
...."Behold, I have given you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over
all the power of the enemy, and nothing will injure you".... Luke 10:19 NASB
