FIRE BY NIGHT

By Glenn H. Jackson

 "Reflections Upon Reflections" [of The Father's Heart]

         ...."You, in Your great compassion, did not forsake them in the wilderness; The pillar of cloud did not leave them by day, to guide them on their way, or the pillar of fire by night, to light for them the way in which they were to go".... Nehemiah 9:19 NASB

EVERY CHILD OF GOD MUST ALLOW THEMSELVES TO BE BROUGHT TO THE PLACE BY THE HOLY SPIRIT WHEREIN THE WORD OF GOD IS ALWAYS MORE "REAL" TO THEM THAN ANY PHYSICAL CIRCUMSTANCES THEY MIGHT ENCOUNTER

Words of Prophecy

*       If My Word says, "be anxious for nothing", then you have nothing to be anxious for [Philippians 4:6, Matthew 6:25-34]! And if My Word says, "have no fear", then you have nothing to fear [2 Timothy 1:7]!

*       Supernatural hope is the product of revelation knowledge and is continually "nourished" by the Holy Spirit as one diligently pursues the Will of God. Natural hope is the product of self-desire [self-will] and is always affected by the natural circumstances - through the five physical senses [soul].

          ...."[For Abraham, human reason for] hope being gone, hoped in faith that he should become the father of many nations, as he had been promised, So [numberless] shall your descendants be. [Gen. 15:5.] He did not weaken in faith when he considered the [utter] impotence of his own body, which was as good as dead because he was about a hundred years old, or [when he considered] the barrenness of Sarah's [deadened] womb. [Gen. 17:17; 18:11.]

No unbelief or distrust made him waver [doubtingly question] concerning the promise of God, but he grew strong and was empowered by faith as he gave praise and glory to God, Fully satisfied and assured that God was able and mighty to keep His word and to do what He had promised".... Romans 4:18-21 The Amplified Translation

        ...."Be gracious to me, O God, be gracious to me, for my soul takes refuge in You; And in the shadow of Your wings I will take refuge until destruction passes by. I will cry to God Most High, to God who accomplishes all things for me".... Psalms 57:1-2 NASB

        ...."Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus".... Philippians 4:6-7 NASB

        What a tremendous blessing it is to have a deep revelation in our heart that the God we serve is NEVER going to fail us nor forsake us. As we, daily, cast our entire lives upon Him we will begin to see clearly the fact that He is watching "diligently" over His Word [Will] to perform it in the earth - on our behalf. As we are obedient day by day we will learn to truly cast "all" of our cares [dependence] upon Him, and we will begin to experience [and walk in]a deep and abiding trust in His perfect integrity and faithfulness towards us. As we meditate in the Word of God moment by moment - continually bringing each one of our thoughts in line with the "revealed" knowledge of the Father's Will, His Word will truly become the "anchor" of our soul, and His peace will "rule" [reign] over our heart and mind.

        As we pursue the Will of God with great intensity we will find ourselves continually in the "secret place" of God's Presence and, in this place, we will truly come to "understand" [gain a deep revelation of the spiritual reality]what it means to walk in faith, and dwell [abide] in the Kingdom. As we spiritually mature, through an ever increasing dependence upon the Word of God, we will come to understand clearly that even though we are walking this earth "physically", all things with which we have to do are now controlled by the power of the Holy Spirit [Who is the Spirit of Love]dwelling [abiding] within us.

        It is ONLY as we "allow" the Word of God to enter into our heart "unhindered", that we shall come to the full realization that His holy Word is infallible - and, in having such a great surety, we shall continually be found exercising an "absolute" faith - thus causing the Will of God to be accomplished and established through us in the earth [both individually and corporately - according to the Father's highest purpose].

EVERY child of God must allow themselves to be brought to the place by the Holy Spirit [through a continued "yieldedness"]wherein the Word of God is ALWAYS more "real" to them than any physical circumstances they might encounter. For it is only in this place of an absolute faith and trust that the Evil One cannot "touch" us [1 John 5:18-19], and it is only in this place that we will have an abiding and "supernatural hope" - a supernatural hope that is the sure and steadfast anchor of our soul.

supernatural hope"- hope [a joyful expectancy] based on a "revelation" of God's Word [Will]- the origin of which is in Heaven;

"natural hope" - hope based on what can be discerned through the five physical senses in the natural [physical] realm;

        ...."accordingly God also, in His desire to show more convincingly and beyond doubt, to those who were to inherit the promise, the unchangeableness of His purpose and plan, intervened [mediated] with an oath. This was so that by two unchangeable things, His promise and His oath, in which it is impossible for God to ever prove false or deceive us, we who have fled to Him for refuge might have mighty indwelling strength and strong encouragement to grasp and hold fast the hope appointed for us and set before us. Now we have this hope as a sure and steadfast anchor of the soul; it cannot slip and it cannot break down under whoever steps out upon it - a hope that reaches farther and enters into the very certainty of the presence within the veil, where Jesus has entered in for us in advance".... Hebrews 6:17-20 Amplified Translation

Prayer of Proclamation:

        Father, we thank You and praise You that You have raised us up a people who are found abiding in a "supernatural hope" [joyful expectancy]. And we declare it DONE [on an ongoing basis], in the Name of Jesus - to Your greatest Glory. Amen.
