So What

By Kathy Mote

So what does it mean that God will fulfill His Word. Fulfill means to satisfy. The Lord Jesus is the living Word, and God will give Him the portion He was promised. Our Father promised that Christ's enemy would be placed under His feet so that everyone would call Him Lord. You might think the enemy here is the devil, but what separates us from Him is being without Him. What hurts God's heart is when we are dead to Him. Death is the enemy that separates us from Him. He is Life. There is no Life without Him.

In A Vision

By Kathy Mote

In a vision I saw the many prophets who have gone before me. Living in caves, they were hidden, persecuted, hunted, social outcasts. They wore clothing they had travailed in. I wondered at that. How could someone who had heard God's voice be brought so low. Why didn't they simply walk with Him, empowered by the joy they found in Him.

The reason the prophets were miserable was they didn't embrace God's presence when God's voice separated them unto Him. That was a wonderful gift. But relating to the living God has consequence. You no longer live among men, you live with Him. He is your home now. You belong nowhere else. This is something you must purposefully embrace.

They travailed to bring His message forth. But instead of rejoicing in Him and trusting Him to bring His Word to pass, the prophets mourned people's response. That was their mistake. They kept their eyes on man.

To remain in Him, you have to let the humility He placed within you do its full work. At the core of humility is complete surrender and trust, and that leaves you confident in Him. He is enough for His messengers as they wait on Him. He has always fulfilled His Word. When and how is not the prophet's business. Neither is people's response.

I consider His presence my home. My heart always runs to Him. My desire is to remain confident that He will fulfill His Word. He will wake everyone up and when He does, they will see Him. We don't need a revival, we need His return.

The problem with the world and the church is carnality, the result of not seeing Him. The only cure for being spiritually dead is to be alive in Him. May His Beloved shine all the brighter in His presence till He come. I hope this encouragement finds its way to your heart.

God Created

By Kathy Mote

God created the Heavens and the Earth and He created you. He understands His intentions and His promise to you. He is the Author of the eternal Life He promised you. Did you know that is His faith living inside you bringing you to Him? He is who the scriptures point to. He is the One Who brings you to Life and Life to you.

How will you receive Him if you think you already know better than Him? Come, let us be reasonable. If you shut your heart to Him in favor of your own understanding, what you have is purely academic and not relationship. He will reveal His heart as you are called to Him. He will reveal your heart if you will listen.

Living With the Lord’s Heart

By Kathy Mote

Living with the Lord's heart revealed to you is like being given a whole other standard to live by. It sheds Light into your heart, it lifts you to Him, making you able to please Him, it brings order and justice to your thinking. But it also makes tolerating ungodliness almost impossible. Loving other people is not tolerating evil, calling it grace, it is lifting the standard for them to see as you honor Him.

It's not about quibbling over right or wrong, it's not about rules or religion or social standards and stigma. It's not dogma. It's not works oriented. It shows no favoritism. Being shown His heart is being given an honor that lives in your soul. Respecting the Lord's heart is His love in you shining back at Him. We are the work of your hands. May we please you, Lord.

The Concept of Walking With the Living God

By Kathy Mote

The concept of walking with the living God is foreign to people who only know Him by reading scripture. I love the scriptures, but they are not the person of God. They speak of God, but they are not God. I wrote this post. When you read it, you will understand what I am trying to convey to you. But this is not me, and reading it isn't the same as knowing me personally.

There is nothing wrong with reading scripture. There is nothing wrong with receiving correction or revelation through the Holy Spirit while reading scripture. There is something wrong with the thinking that God is limited to what you decide to read. This is not all there is to the Living God who created you and who is creating His image in you.

There are many who treat the scriptures as if they were God, a god they can control and that is who these posts are correcting. Those who use scripture to control their circumstance treat God like a manual that gave them special powers. That is not respectful or personal. That is not a real or living relationship in which God is present.

This is one thought I will leave you with, if you are still reading. The living God who created you is desiring to be honored in your heart as God, Savior and Father who loves you in a face to face relationship. If He were standing in front of you, what would you say to Him. From experience, I can tell you, you would be listening, not referring to scripture.

Once He gave me a vision of a couple on their first date. Instead of looking each other in the eye and talking with each other, they pulled out all the letters they had written to each other and referred to them. He said, Don't be like that.

I Heard the Lord Say

By Kathy Mote

This morning I heard the Lord say, Trust fall. I've never understood the concept when people said it. We trust Him so that we wouldn't fall. But what He meant today is, Let go. Let go and fall into My arms. Let your situation fall into My hands. As you trust Me, know that things will fall into My perfect will. Allow your fears to fall away as you trust Me. Trust Me and everything BUT you will fall.

Surrender is a critical part of trust. You can't have one without the other. Surrender, according to Webster's, means to acknowledge that you are conquered. That's a far cry from what God means. He means instead of allowing your fear and your need for control to rule your heart, call Him LORD and trust Him with your very life.

After all, it was death that He conquered.

I've noticed that most people don't like the words surrender and authority. They immediately stop listening and start defending. But God's definition of authority is that as LORD His will prevails over you. Let me remind you just what that means. That means you are loved, protected, brought into His arms and lavishly provided for. That means God's banner over you lets the enemy know where HE stands, which is over you, protecting you.

Webster's doesn't have a clue about what God's heart is on the subject of authority or surrender to it. Those are His terms for acknowledging Christ's Lordship.

sur·ren·der

cease resistance to authority.

God taught me that His definition of authority is He is Lord and He enforces His Word. That would be the same Word we embrace to be healed and have our needs met. He said, By My authority I provide. But there's more. He gives us Life and all that Life entails.

The problem many are having is that they want the benefits of Christ's Lordship, but they don't realize they aren't meeting God's terms. From the moment Adam and Eve fell out of fellowship with God in the garden, God initiated His plan for our redemption. Actually, it was always His plan that we be closer to Him than Adam and Eve were. Trusting Him as Lord from the depths of our heart is how we accept.
