FIRE BY NIGHT
By Glenn H. Jackson
"Reflections Upon Reflections" [of The Father's Heart]
...."You, in Your great compassion, did not forsake them in the wilderness; The
pillar of cloud did not leave them by day, to guide them on their way, or the pillar of fire by night, to light for them the way in which they were to go".... Nehemiah 9:19 NASB
THE PREREQUISITE TO KNOWING GOD'S WILL IS A HEART
THAT IS "WHOLLY GIVEN" TO HIM
Words of Prophecy:
* If perfect fellowship with Me is not the first and foremost priority of My children then they shall surely come to the place wherein
they shall allow themselves to be held captive by the Evil One to do his will. For it is only in the place of abiding in perfect fellowship with Me that one is both empowered and sustained in carrying out the fullness of My Will for their life and ministry!
* The ministry of the Christ [the Anointed One and His Anointing] is to always "perfectly represent" Me.
If you would truly accomplish all of My Will for your life and ministry, cleanse yourself from "all" defilement of flesh and spirit [2 Corinthians 7:1].
if Thou are willing, remove this cup from Me; yet not My will, but Thine be done".... Luke 22:42 NASB
Those who are children of God should NEVER, even for a moment,
allow themselves to think that following after their "own" will [self-desire] can make them happy or bring ANY degree of true satisfaction. For the ONLY way to experience true happiness and [divine] satisfaction for the born-again child of God is not in following
after their own will, but in following after the Will of God - without compromise in any area of their life and ministry!
True "happiness" [peace and joy] is
found only in obedience to the highest purposes of the Father - and NOT self-will. No matter how difficult the circumstance or trial we are experiencing we are to learn obedience to our Heavenly Father by saying in our heart and with our mouth [maintaining
the heart-attitude], "Lord, not my will, but ONLY Your will be done" [in and through my life and ministry]. As we are faithful to "maintain" this heart-attitude we will come to see clearly - time after time - that the Fathers way [wisdom] is perfect - and
ALWAYS for our greatest good.
Any disobedience on our part where the Word [Will]of God is concerned only causes "unnecessary wandering" in our walks. It is certain
that we are spared many of these "unfruitful wanderings" if we keep our heart in a sensitive state before the Father, and learn at ALL times to submit [yield] to His Will alone. If anyone truly desires in their heart to "know" [gain a revelation of] the Will
of God [with a view to carrying it out at all cost to themselves] they shall never be deceived, and they shall come into a perfect [exact] knowledge of the deepest thoughts and intentions of the Father's heart - in any given matter.
Again, the prerequisite to knowing God's Will is a heart that is "wholly given" to the Word [Will of God] - a heart that has already determined to both speak and "act" upon all that is "revealed" to it. We must learn to walk only in the light of
God's Will - and this, then, becomes an awesome responsibility! For if we act carelessly in the flesh and, thus, venture out apart from the Will of God, we become "misrepresentatives" of both the Father and the Lord Jesus - causing, in some way, the hindering
of [delaying by the Enemy] the true works of God in the earth.
Every Christian who truly desires to abide [dwell]in an absolute faith [trust] and a perfect obedience
must first submit themselves "wholly" [in their heart] to the perfect Will of the Father for their life and ministry [and also for all those who will cross their path]. For this is the catalyst that will SURELY cause one to both enter into, and remain on,
the "narrow path" and, ultimately, fulfil their precious destiny [all that they were created for], in Christ.
Prayer of Proclamation:
Father, we thank You and praise You that You have raised us up a people who pursue Your Will at all cost to ourselves - a people who are determined to both speak and act upon all that You reveal to our heart. And we declare it DONE [on an ongoing basis], in
the Name of Jesus - to Your greatest Glory. Amen.
