The Lord said that within the heart of every man there is the desire to be powerful. Even the power to obey
and become as you are called must come from Him, for that is how you honor Him. The ability and desire of the Living God to change you is powerful for He is powerful. The greatest place a man can be is in the Lord's presence, for that is His Kingdom. The greatest
feat a man can do is to bow before the Lord, for that is how you enter.
I Was Standing Before Our Father’s Throne
By Kathy Mote
I was standing before our Father's throne, for that is where He brought me. He showed me the ark of the covenant, and said in this
ark, or ship, were the stone tablets, a written account of what was said to Moses. He said all of human thinking is pagan, for it is carnal. Instead of remembering what God had said, they carried the ark around. But the ark has no power.
My Father said that people are doing the same thing today with the written account of His word, but they are in error. I said, Well, let's go tell them! But He said, No, you can't do that. My Word and I cannot be separated.
It is My promise. My promise is their witness. The problem is that they think there is power in the written word when they speak it. That is not entirely so, for they have left the living God out of it. The power is in Me, and that is where they must be also.
So, There Was A Prophet
By Kathy Mote
So, there was a Prophet who had been sent to Jezebel to warn her that she would no longer be allowed to rule over God's people. The
God of the Heavens and the Earth had decreed her time was through, and the Prophet was sent to say so. This was good news for the people.
The Prophet was rejected, even by those who were slaves in Jezebel's
kingdom. They chased the Lord's Prophet who fled into the wilderness. But in her heart she was amazed that no one had listened. It was the revelation of their own adoption that was being rejected.
camped for the night and in the morning she found that she was surrounded by Jezebel's army. This is what the Lord said to the Prophet as she saw the army of angels that surrounded the enemy army all around her. The enemy is disbanded.
Do not dismay that you were rejected. Do not lament that they didn't hear you. Do not worry about tomorrow, for you shall continue unharmed and unmolested. You speak My Words, you go as I send you. You obey Me. You are My delight, for My desires
live within you. Do not cry over the pagans that reject you. They do not see Me, so they do not hear you. As My witness have I sent you.
This is what I say to you who obey Me without hesitation. I will
bless and multiply you. I will provide for you. I will honor you. I will set My own army around you to protect you. No harm will come near you. As for those who do not see and do not hear and do not fear the Living God who sent you, I will open their eyes
in the day that I come to gather you. I will set every heart right in My Kingdom.
Today the Lord Invited
By Kathy Mote
Today the Lord invited me to go and get ice cream. So I drove down to the new Dairy Queen and got an ice cream cone.
I was enjoying the sweet treat when I dropped it. The paper wrapping had caught on my thumb and down it rolled, onto the floor of my truck that has not been vacuumed in a year.
Such a lovely day. Such
a lovely treat. Such a wonderful thing to be invited by my Lord and King. I am no child. I did not cry. I honestly purposed in my heart to eat it anyway, never mind the dirt! I would simply have to scrape it off! I was so grateful for the break I had been
given from my recent travail, I wasn't going to let this ruin my date with the Lord.
I picked up my treat and looked at it again. I couldn't find any dirt anywhere! There was not a speck to be found on
my sweet treat when there had been so much on it only a moment ago. I thanked the Lord for my ice cream and vowed to tell, that He is sweet and merciful to give us joy, even in times of travail. Thank you, Lord. 🍦
After My Ice Cream Adventure
After my ice cream adventure, I went home to have dinner with my daughter. I had made a lovely stew in the little crock pot with pork, shallots, golden potatoes,
garlic and tomato. It smelled lovely, but seemed too simple a meal. I decided to have buttered bread with it.
The Lord said, You don't need any bread, so I put the bread away. But truly I wanted it, and
He said, have half a piece. So I took a dinner roll and cut it in half. I sat down to eat and looked down at my bread. My half had been cut in half. I stared and blinked but yes, the Lord gave me a perfect portion. I thanked Him for looking out for me with
more in my heart than gratitude. I am awed that He loves us so much. We are protected and cared for.
For the First Time
By Kathy Mote
For the first time in over seven years, I am facing serious warfare in my own
heart. I am learning to rest in the face of what looks like failure and defeat. My instinct is to be frustrated. Until now my joy was in simple obedience. Right now it is costing me much more. I am laying down the desire to see the Word accepted as I surrender
the Word back to Him.
Each time I struggle with this, I turn to Him with gratitude for what He is doing instead of reacting out of frustration and pride. He told me this level of surrender is necessary
as His Word is released from such a deep place in His heart. He said it is upper echelon stuff. I am not alone in this, so I thought I would share.
The higher we go the deeper we are the more we must realize
that what He is doing is all up to Him. I am finding that my first love is my best defense and His most powerful protection. His presence is a fortress around me. That's where I need to stay.
