I Am Being Reminded
By Kathy Mote
I am being reminded of something and the Lord has asked me to share. It is how jealousy works. When someone notices that you are different
than they are, their first response is to be enamored of (in love with) what you seem to be.
Then they begin to notice that is not what they are, and that hurts their heart, and they are grieved. In fact,
it twists their heart and it devastates them. They imitate, they emulate, they follow your every move. The more they find they cannot keep up, the more deeply grieved their heart is.
What they find in
their own heart is hollow and dis-ingenuine. They resent you at this point, and that is when the co-partnering with the devil begins. They plot to outshine you as they are truly destroyed. They are being pressed to run to the Lord who made them and this is
how they are refined.
I have always been fascinated by this, as I couldn't imagine how it must feel. (I was simply too busy trying to be good enough.) But over the years I have learned it isn't me
they are jealous of. It is God's anointing, and it repels them.
He told me He meant for it to, for in the process, I am humbled just to walk with Him. As everyone is kept at a distance, He raises those He has called to Himself. All
who are called to accomplish His purpose are tested, tried and tempered in this manner. It's the same process as forging a sword. The presence of the Lord has made us as a sword.
Time To Know
By Kathy Mote
It's time to know what you are standing here for. Time to know who you are and Whose you are. Time to walk
in the presence of the Lord with the deepest resolve. Time to realize every trial merely refines the desires of your heart. Time to behave in all things like you are walking towards the Lord's heart. Time to stop allowing your heart's response to be taken
from Him. It's time to stop being distracted by what you think others expect and by how others behave.
It's time to be wise enough to see where you stand, to take a stand and to stand your ground. Your
heart is not the only one being refined. People will compete with who the Lord called you to be, defining their own life by what you are and what you say. There will be gossip and maligning, jealousy, theft and deceit as people's hearts are put to the test.
Brother will turn against brother in days like this. The closer they are the deeper it hurts. I now understand what 'wise as a serpent and gentle as a dove' means. This is how we stay in His presence in a time such as this. It's time to stop kissing frogs
and set our heart on the Prince of Peace.
To Call Him Lord
By Kathy Mote
To call Him Lord is to accept His will directly
from Him. This is how all that happens in your life is between you and Him. The outcome of every circumstance is between you and Him. He has His way as He guards and protects your heart and you trust in Him. This is how He brings you into His presence and
keeps you safe. This is how you abide in Him, calling Him Lord. As His child, this is how you honor His heart and how He honors your trust. He is Lord of all that concerns His child.
When The Lord
Fills Your Heart
By Kathy Mote
When the Lord fills your heart with yearning to be in His presence, He is making Himself known to your
heart. You stand in His presence accepting Him as Lord of your heart. This is embracing Him as Lord as you are being embraced. It is an act of love, and an exchange. It is a meeting of the hearts, not merely an act of believing what you read.
You do not 'stand in His presence' to tell Him what you will receive. You do not 'stand in His presence' to tell Him your will. You do not 'stand in His presence' to tell Him what His Word means. He is not Lord of
that. To be brought into His presence, you accept that He is Lord. In His presence you accept His will. In His presence you become as He desires.
As you acknowledge He is Lord of your heart, you are blessed
beyond measure to hear His voice. As He speaks His desire into your heart, He will make right your thoughts and heal your heart. He will make your heart one with His desires as you accept His will. The Lord said, Stir yourself to accept Him. This is how to
