If God is for me . . . who can be against me?

I laughed until I near cried . . .

What God Has Preserved

By Robert Blackburn

I want to share something that happened with me last evening.

I was hiding in a corner; feeling down about something I could not seem to get off my mind.  A hurt, a sadness, something that kept passing through me.

My crumpled self thought, I can’t take this; I can’t get over it.  Then I heard my inner voice, my Angel perhaps, say a bit matter-of-factly, “Then just hold on to it the then….”

I thought, well..!  And then it came.

A big grin began to spread over my face and I started to chuckle at myself.  All of a sudden, it sounded so funny.  “Then just hold on to it then….”  I laughed until I near cried.

If there’s one terrible flaw I might have in myself, it’s likely taking everything just a little too seriously.  Some of us worry a lot; we always have.

We’re not like others who just seem to blow everything off and whistle with the wind.  It may not matter too much how spiritual we’d like to get, it’s part of who we are and the best we can hope for is to try not do it so much.

There’s been so much fear.  The bottom’s fallen out of the world as so many of us know it.  We’re facing things we’ve never even thought of occurring before; faced with an affront from hell that we never thought we’d experience.

Never, in all of my time, have I seen the all-out attack from the dark side.  And from those who have given themselves over to be vessels of his wicked and evil intent.

Those in The Body of Christ who have grown, matured in The Spirit and kept filling their lamps when they got empty, know things.  What was indeed written, is no stranger to them. They are truly wide awake.

Many of us are yet terribly sick.  There are untold numbers of those who were chosen, who have gone through almost every pain there is.

One day, in a much better place, we’ll sit down and share just how much heartbreak and suffering we encountered.  Oh, I know right now what some are saying.

Well, you know what Jesus went through and we are no better than Him.  It’s all for the best.  Let me be myself for a moment; I’m so glad that some people have already arrived.

David said, “My God; I’m going down here. You gotta help!”

Where are the Gifts?  If they were quenched and thwarted in too many buildings built by man, where are they going to operate now?

There was already a desperate need for healing among so many of us.  What about now.  More people are shattered, swept away and in dire circumstances than they were before.

Who’s going to minister to them?  How are we going to get up and deliver to them when we can’t stand up ourselves?

Some prophesied a shaking… Well, here it is, in a much greater force than we ever dreamed of.

A recent report says that in the month of June, 1 out of 4 young people between the ages of 18 and 25, thought of committing suicide.  What?  The world’s poor are poorer than before.  Those who were hungry, are now hungrier than they were before this happened?

A great outpouring is coming?  I stake everything I have on that.  But where is it going to happen?

The altars can’t fill up if the doors are closed!  How many are even allowed to pray there at one time?

Will we be given the chance to have Church again the way we once did?

Will the deep move of the Spirit pass through us as in days of old?

We never allowed entertainment in The House of The LORD on the platform.  People were not allowed to operate in the flesh.  People don’t know God as many of us have — they’ve never seen the true demonstration and power of The Holy Ghost.  Where is it even now?

I’ve worried over terrible arthritis in my hands, twisting the tip of my left little finger.  Will I still be able to play [piano]?

I went to the kitchen and got a bottle of cooking olive oil and started rubbing it on that joint; saying, “LORD, these hands belong to you!  I still want to use them to play for you and those who need to hear it in this hour!”

I went to the piano a few minutes ago.  I forgot about the finger.  I just started playing unto Him.

A voice said, “Sing!”

Rusty at first, I began to sing in a clear powerful voice I’ve never even heard before.  You see, I thought this talent was surely gone for good.

God preserved every bit of it for me.  It’s right there where it’s been all this time.  Whatever Gift of The Spirit you were endued with, is still right where He put it.

It doesn’t matter what other people are thinking; that’s old news now.  God brought you here, He put you here and He’s never taken back anything He gave you.

What’s been missing in too much called Church?  The following, the leading of The Holy Ghost, no matter what!  Listening to that Voice, above all else.

That’s how we’re going to find where to go, how to do it and who He wants us to reach with what we have.

Wait, Listen, and Move.
