Lord, What is Your Purpose

By Kathy Mote

Lord, what is Your purpose in the things we learn to abhor. Even the travail of childbirth teaches us there are things that must be endured to bring forth good. We do not fight evil, we run from it, secure in Your love. We do not destroy the destroyer, we overcome in Your presence and we are not destroyed. We resist the enemy's lies by embracing the Truth. We trust in Your goodness and we are gathered to You. That is the point of evil being allowed to remain, it is what's outside your presence, and it teaches us to honor You that we might remain.

Your desire is to make us as You are, pure and good and filled with what honors You as we are embraced in Your arms. We will be the perfect image of Your every desire. You have declared it and by Your presence You are revealed. What we have to do is abide in You as we wait for Your desire in us to be fulfilled. That's not so hard once we see You, which is the point of all You do.

Habakkuk’s Cry

By Kathy Mote

Habakkuk's cry so long ago speaks for every generation from then until now. How long will You make me look at injustice? Why do You tolerate wrongdoing? Destruction and violence are running wild; there is strife, and conflict abounds. The wicked hem in the righteous, and calling evil good, they call good seem evil, gathering destruction unto themselves.

The Lord’s Answer

“Look at the nations and watch and be utterly amazed. For I am going to do something in your days that you would not believe, even if you were told. I am exposing those who walk in their carnal ways without Me, a selfish people who are a law unto themselves."

So we will stand and listen for Him; and see what He will say, and hear His answer to our complaint against evil. Has not the Lord Almighty determined that the people’s labor is only fuel for the fire, that the nations exhaust themselves for nothing? We wait for Him.

The Lord is above all; let all the earth be silent before Him. For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord when they finally see Him.

All of creation not only waits for Him, but we wait for the justice in Him as well. It is evil that is purging every heart in all of creation, from the beginning until now. Evil serves as an accelerant as all hearts burn for Him during their time on the Earth.

We do not hope for this world to become good, we are gathered to Him as we hope for Him. He is faithful and good and He answers our trust, though evil will be evil until He is revealed. He is mighty to rule as He is present in our heart, and as we trust in Him, He has His way.

The Lord Said

By Kathy Mote

The Lord said, “You are one whose time has come. Every hurt and every memory of hurt is being brought to Light and put to rest. I am bringing your heart into to My own, revealing that your true strength is knowing where you belong, that you were made to overcome. I have made you as you are, and you have been tested and tried down to your very bones and your will to go on. I will take all your difficult memories and redeem each one, proving to your heart you have already overcome. ”

“I will show you what has been taken from you in your life is the thinking that you are alone and cast down. You are not. You are Mine. You will rise to unimaginable heights, leaving the things that bind your heart to this earth in the dust. It is time for you to know who you really are. You are Mine. You are beautiful, made strong, and precious to My heart.”

In The Past Twenty Years

By Kathy Mote

In the past twenty years I have heard many people who talk of the power we have in Christ's name to control the devil. What they mean is to control circumstance. This is a far cry from overcoming, and it's not bringing God's will to pass. What defines our ability to overcome is abiding in the Lord's presence, brought to Life by Him. The one thing those who walk in the flesh consider beneath them is what is essential, to honor the Lord's authority by obeying Him.

Do we realize that when we act on scripture instead of obeying His voice, we are walking without Him, not honoring Him as Lord? Time to examine our heart's desire. Is it Him we desire? Or do we desire the power and authority given to Him. Nothing of our covenant or our salvation works outside His presence.

I’d Like To Share

By Kathy Mote

I'd like to share what the Lord taught me about the art of surrender. It is a work of art because it is His workmanship and presence in us that we respond to. This is not something we 'know', and not something we 'do'. It is His presence and His heart and His preference made known to us as He changes us.

We have no idea of the beauty His presence will make of us, and no concept of what He creates in us. We have no power to make ourselves as He wills, and no understanding of what it is He does in us, so we surrender. Like an infant in His arms, we yield as He carries us. He shapes our hearts as He impresses His Life into them. He literally breathes His will into us.

It is His power, His presence, His desires being impressed into us and we receive, saying, Yes, Lord. It is our own ability to make ourselves into His image that we lay down. That is surrender, plain and simple, and He sent me to say so. As we call Him Lord with every beat of our heart we receive the Life that He breathes into us. His will, His Word, His presence, His Life is the power working in us to obey Him.

To Be Hidden

By Kathy Mote

The Lord said that to be 'hidden' is to say what we hear Him say, and do what we hear Him do. That is what He is doing in the Earth. As we are 'hidden' in Him, we agree with Him as we obey Him. That is how He will have His way in us. That is how He will have His way through us.

This is entirely different than quoting scripture into situations as we understand them. That is what WE are doing. In our natural thinking we are rarely, if ever, accurate. Acting and speaking by our understanding is not the same as hearing Him and that is not Him having His way in us.

That is what the Lord said.
