The Lord Has Made My Heart

The Lord has made my heart secure in Him and asked me to share the way He did this was by His presence making me aware of Him. Trusting Him is my response to His presence, and surrendering my heart to Him is loving Him.
What this means is a surrendered heart totally belongs to Him. He is present in the heart where He is Lord, and there is no enemy present where He is.
He told me His enemies are all that take
me from Him. These aren't outside forces, my enemy is the death and darkness of not knowing Him. So where He is present, I am safe in His arms and this is how He has made my heart secure. But where I don't know His presence, I don't know His heart. He makes
my heart burn to know Him.
It is His presence that causes my surrender to Him, so I guess this is all just a fancy way of saying, He is creating His image and a reflection of Him in me. This is a gift
so wonderful, only a yielded heart can see.

How many times do we react to what's going on in our life in fear when the Lord is actually moving on our
behalf? I have seen this in my own life too many times not to mention it as well as the Lord's gentle response. As everything that can be shaken is being shaken, He does not want our heart to be shaken as well. He wants our hearts to be confident in Him. He
said, When are you going to learn to trust Me.

Every
Once In Awhile

Every once in awhile, I resent the injustices in my life. How people have acted is just not right. As
I grumbled about one such situation, the Lord interrupted me and said, Are you talking to Me?
I thought back and remembered Him telling me that the situation brought about His will, that I was to accept
the situation as a gift from Him. It actually brought about deliverance and healing for me. Someone else's bad behavior had catapulted my life.
I stopped my rant, I quieted my heart and answered Him. I
said, No, I'm not talking to You. He said, Then you're not talking to Me.
In that moment, I saw a vision of a small, beautifully delicate and well-behaved lamb, and tied around her little neck was a fine, golden thread held by the Master's
hand. That tether was very short so she was very close to Him.
As He moved, she moved, filled with delight to be so close to Him. That delicate thread would be easily broken if she pulled away from Him.
I'm very grateful for the ways He keeps us close to Him, and although I'm not proud of my tirade earlier, I've been asked to share.
