I Have Often Wondered

By Kathy Mote

I have often wondered how people can possibly be so deceived, and so convinced of a lie. The Lord said, They embrace evil because they sit in great darkness, and evil is the expression of their heart. Evil expresses what is in them, and they actually enjoy it. Evil is what they espouse (become one with in their heart). The more darkness in them, the more murder and hate they express. They are broken, each one.

O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, who kills the prophets and stones those sent to her, how often I have longed to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, but you were unwilling! Look, your house is left to you desolate. For I tell you that you will not see Me again until you say, ‘Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord'.

Matthew 23:37-39

Jesus spoke to them in parables: “The kingdom of Heaven is like a King who prepared a wedding banquet for his son. He sent his servants to call those he had invited to the banquet, but they refused to come.

Many are called, but few are chosen. What He meant by this is something I am just now beginning to know and understand. Its meaning is so simple, it has been hidden since the beginning of time. As many as are called, those are the number who excuse themselves, for the only way to come is to be in His arms. His invitation has always been a matter of the heart, and of being filled with what is in His heart. That is how He brings us to Him to honor Him, and that is the only way we come.

The Battle Lines Are Drawn

By Kathy Mote

The battle lines are drawn, and everyone is present. Those called to the Lord's heart are prepared to remain with Him, for they live safely content in His presence. Those who live by their carnal understanding aren't prepared for this at all. The devil has prepared his attack against the hearts he intends to rule, and he will use their own logic to bind them, hand and foot. The Lord said it will be a bloody battle. Many won't stand by the time it is done. Only the Remnant won't fall, for heart and soul, they trust in Him.

Before You Call Yourself A Warrior

By Kathy Mote

Before you call yourself a warrior, ask yourself who you are warring, and what you are warring to get. Now ask the Lord what is given to you in Him, but be forewarned, surrender is how you enter to hear His voice. Once you are there, He will reveal the Truth. Warrior? No. Scrappy, more like.

The only battle worth fighting is the battle to surrender our heart and mind. What we battle to overcome is our tendency to trust our reactive and carnal thinking that leads us away from Him. The days of being a warrior are through. The days of overcoming are at hand.

When The devil Accuses You

By Kathy Mote

When the devil accuses you, don't take the bait. Of course what he says is untrue. That's the point. The point is, you resist what he is trying to do. To resist is to pull in the opposite direction.

You are not here to fight the devil over what is not true, you are invited to the Lord's presence to hear what is in His heart. That is the Truth. The devil is trying to tempt you away from the Lord, and he does this by goading your pride, but in the Lord's presence is where you should be, leaving the devil behind.

I said all that to say at this. Fighting a lie is not the same as accepting the Truth. It's not the same thing at all. There are many who have spent decades of their life fighting the father of lies. The sad thing is, in doing this, they have entirely missed the Truth.

Faith Is His Word

By Kathy Mote

Faith is His Word working in you, and it comes by receiving and hearing Him. You believe what He says to you, and what He says to you is what He gives you. That is Jesus working in you. Faith is God's presence, working in you.

We read the scriptures that say faith cometh by hearing the word, but we don't realize that it means to know what He is doing in you by hearing Him. This takes place in our deeply personal interaction with Him. What we receive, we receive from Him. We believe what He says to us because that is His answer to our need.

I would like to share what happened to me today. In the winter, sometimes my hands get dry, and my knuckles crack. These tiny cracks are very painful, and as I experienced one of these tiny, howling screamers today, I turned to Him, holding it out to Him. I needed healing.

He looked down at it and said, “Here.” He held it in His hand a second, and giving it a gentle squeeze, He said, You're alright. When He let go, it was brought together and healed.

This is an example of what I have been sent to share. We receive from Him. I didn't believe what the Bible said about His desire to heal and claim that for myself, I saw His desire to heal as I turned to Him.

He once told me that faith is His power working in me to bring me to Him, that this was the Father's will. Faith is not me believing what I read, it is Him working in me and my response to Him. Perhaps we should stop thinking WE accomplish His will by believing what we read of Him, and simply trust that HE will bring us to our Father, filled with His love for us, which is the fullness of His will.
