Our Problem Is Not Trusting
By Kathy Mote
Our problem is not trusting His will, something we would be wise
to do as we stand before Him. When we don't like what is happening in our life, we fight against it instead of trusting in His will, and resting in His mercy for us. Just like when Joseph was thrown into the pit, you can rage against the Lord's hand, but that
will not make Him relent. He is intent on your deliverance as He is perfecting your heart.
Deliverance from what? From living your days without a measure of trust. As a child of God, a life like that is
a waste of your time. It does not bring you to Him.
Last Night The Lord Brought Some People
By Kathy Mote
Last night the Lord brought
some people to my mind, and as He did, the memories of not being treated well by them returned to reveal the bitterness in my heart. The Lord spoke to me and said, You're not ready yet.
I felt like a muffin
in the oven that had not cooked long enough, one who was not quite right on the inside and unable to hold its shape. This comes from not fully receiving His will in your life. As you stand in His presence, calling Him Lord, you trust Him as Lord, and in all
things, you are confident in Him.
There is no reason for strife in a trusting heart. I was sorry about only one thing, not trusting the work of His hand in my life. In not doing this, I had not fully given Him my heart.
May we all come to the place where we can see where we are, seated on the palm of His hand, being raised and protected by Him. May we not look to the tools in His hand and not resent them. May we trust Him, for all
things are in His hands. May we see Him, and not anything else, for that is a measure of trust in true communion with Him.
I know folks who would call this a passive stand. They would scoff, and fight,
and declare they are the head and not the tail. They would fight to defend themselves, raging against evil. But evil did not prevail. Only as they rage against His will does evil prevail!
The Lord said
they do not rage against evil in His presence, for it shows no trust in Him as He brings all things in their life together. Trust is an act of one who is confident in His will, and this is done in His presence. That is the faith that will move mountains.
After All of His Humbling
By Kathy Mote
After all of his humbling, testing, trying, character building experiences and suffering, Joseph knew to forgive his brothers, realizing
the events in his life all accomplished God's purpose and will. He had been outfitted in wisdom and learned to walk in humility. God had called and equipped him to do great things.
When Joseph saw his
brothers after they had so callously thrown him away, treating him without heart, breaking his heart those many years before, he answered them from the perspective of knowing God's hand had been moving in his life and not man's.
He said, Am I standing in God's place, that I should judge you? Even though you intended to do harm to me, God intended it for good, in order to preserve a numerous people, as He is doing today.
The Lord said that in a big way, this applies to those in the Remnant today. The humbling, character building events we have endured in our lives have outfitted us, equipped
us, and prepared us, making us who we are just like Joseph's did, and we will take our place in a very important time. Our suffering has not in any way been random, and we are ready. The Lord has made sure we are.
We Don’t Have The Power
By Kathy Mote
We don't have the power in and of ourselves to honor Him. The works of our flesh aren't the Life that honors Him. Flesh is not Spirit, and that's just not good enough.
But surrender is our heart's
response to His presence. That is why yielding to Him with our heart and desiring Him with all our heart is key, so that He would have His way in us, giving us a measure of Him. It is His heart expressed by His Spirit in us that honors Him.
What He has been doing in us since our birth has humbled us in a way we would never be able to choose. He has removed from us the pride of life to save our life as He called us to Him. In this generation we are the work of His hands and not our
own. He is removing impure religious thought from all who stand before Him.
