Until He Reveals His Heart

By Kathy Mote

Until He reveals His heart to me on a matter, I make no judgments of my own. What is in my heart, I receive from Him.

Recently I Am filled

By Kathy Mote

Recently I am filled with the satisfaction of seeing things made right by the Lord. He has been making people who were not right to be right with Him. He asked me about one in particular who had withheld mercy from me.

I receive who I am from Him, and as far as I am concerned, there is no score to settle between this person and my own heart. But this is not the case between this person and God's heart. He told me He would bring justice to her life, and asked me what I would say about that.

I didn't have to search my heart very long to find there was already justice in it because He was Lord of it. I want Him to have His way in her heart, like He did in mine. It would delight me to see Him satisfy His heart and make her heart right with Him. I have received my life from Him, so my life is between me and Him. So is hers, and He's the Righteous Judge.

Many people have hurt so deep they desire to see justice on their own behalf and not His. But what they don't realize is, justice is something only He can give as He makes your heart right with Him.

The Lord Said

By Kathy Mote

The Lord said, “I will repay. All that you have suffered, I will make right. Some of you have suffered all of your life and it has made you who you are, but it is time to make things right. What was taken from your life for the sake of righteousness will be set straight. You will see justice in all things as I balance the scales. I am the Righteous Judge. All will be made right before Me. Your heart will delight as you hear of these things.”

I Can’t Help It

By Kathy Mote

I can't help it, I constantly lament my flesh. Like a  place of interment, I am imprisoned in it. It isn't that I long to be beautiful, it's that I long to be free.

My physical condition is the opposite of what I worked so hard to be. It's almost like investing your whole life to have a Cadillac only to be stuck driving a broken down heap. Mercury poisoning took my life's dream, but the Lord told me to trust Him, not have a carnal life's dream.

He told me to surrender everything I am to Him. That is not as simple as it sounds. That is His work in my heart. Refining each desire He asks for, He makes every one of them His own.

So, that has been my life project for years, to give up my life in response to Him. He did not give up the Life project He started in me. He said, Give Me all that you worked so hard to be, and I will make you all that I worked so hard for you to be.

You might think that the point I am coming to is the promise He made that I would be given my carnal life back. I have no symptoms to speak of, except I don't like not being a Cadillac. In grace and with mercy He provides for me, day after day I see Him move on my behalf. What I wanted to say was, a life of surrender is its own reward. It is lived in His presence, and there is no better life than that.

Religion makes you see everything as something you have done. Knowing Him is seeing what He is doing in your heart.
