Learned Obedience Bring a Wealthy Place in God
By Geraldine Fisher
Your Learned Obedience Is Going to Bring You Into a Wealthy Place in God!
As I was meditating upon The LORD, He gave me this portion of Scripture.
“I know what it means to lack, and I know what it means to experience overwhelming abundance. For I’m trained in the secret of overcoming all things, whether in fullness or in hunger, and I find that the
strength of Christ’s explosive power infuses me to conquer every difficulty.” Philippians 4:12-13 TPT.
I believe that The LORD is teaching His Apostles, Prophets and other leaders how to be
forerunners in The Gospel and not only the Five-Fold Ministry, but those who will follow Him.
I say the Apostles, as well as Prophets, because they must know how to learn different temperaments and characteristics
of God in order to tell others about the goodness of God.
Apostle Paul was letting the Philippines know how God had taught him how to learn how to walk in humility concerning the things God was teaching
him how to endure in his suffering, because it was going to become a great Testimony for The Kingdom of God.
He was not only showing, but demonstrating to the people how he had learned how to become flexible
and accustomed to many situations as he learned obedience to the things which he had suffered.
In other words God was stretching him and teaching Him about His character regarding who he was in God and
who God was in his life personally.
Many times we wonder why I have always to take ‘the hard road’ in life, and why it just can’t come easy like everybody else we see in life, but it
is because God is making you to be strong, by building you some spiritual muscles so you will not just look like an athlete, but you will actually be one in your walk with God.
You see, in The Kingdom
of God there are counterfeits and those camouflaging like they have spiritual muscle in The Kingdom, but at the first sign of warfare they are the ones who tuck tail and run at the sign of the enemy!
They
murmur, complain and run and get out the fleshy weapons, because their weapons are not mighty through God for pulling down the strongholds in God, but are fleshly and carnal.
They are spiritual crybabies
and whimpers in the flesh who mouth and speak great, swelling words, to gain the naysayers and the hearts of the people, because they like popularity more than they love being obedient to God.
Man pleasures;
instead of God pleasers, but we are going to see who loves Jesus after a while.
These who have been proven and stood the test of time have His confidence and boldness through the suffering and the stretching
that God has placed upon their lives.
It was not because of pride, but it was because they learnt through the obedience of His suffering who God was, and who He was in God, Who caused him to walk in the
weight of his Anointing and the Authority that God placed upon his life!
This Anointing would break yokes and cause chains to fall off the lives of others, because he had learned the secret of God’s
Glory — which was to obey God in the time of suffering!
Apostle Paul-said, “I know how to live humbly, and I know how to abound. I am accustomed to any and every situation — to being
filled and being hungry, to having plenty and having need.” ( Philippines 4:12)
It’s hard to teach and to instruct somebody about a subject that you yourself have never had the pleasure of
going through in life, and this is why Jesus himself said, “Though He was a Son, yet He learned obedience by the things which He suffered.” Hebrews 5:8 emphasis added.
What does that mean?
It means that Jesus did not just ‘talk the talk’ — but He ‘walked the walk’ of The Will of His Father. There were no gimmicks or trickery involved, like the Scribes and Pharisees tried
to accuse him of.
He went through every struggle and situation and was no stranger to suffering even in the Garden of Gethsemane when He requested the Disciples to pray with Him, but may went to sleep,
opening themselves up to unnecessary warfare, because they preferred to sleep than to pray and to consecrate themselves, like many who are living off the fasting and prayers of others, but fail to have oil stored up in their own lamps, like the five foolish
virgins who prepared not themselves, but asked the other wise virgins to give them some of their oil, because their lamps was empty!
But God wants His People to know He is well aware of the sacrifice and
the sufferings you are enduring for His Name’s sake!
When we as Christians experience suffering, we do not face it alone, because, like Jesus who was fully equipped God will equip you also.
Jesus came down from Heaven as a Godhead in the form of a mortal man. Coming down from heaven He understands everything we are going through.
The LORD in this
season is revealing to those who know Him, versus those who do not! Those who are walking in the flesh and not The Spirit, who are counterfeit and in that day, it shall be revealed!
“The Spirit of
The LORD God is upon me; because The LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound; to proclaim the acceptable
year of The LORD, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn; to appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be
called trees of righteousness, the planting of The LORD, that he might be glorified.
And they shall build the old wastes, they shall raise up the former desolations, and they shall repair the waste cities, the desolations of many generations.”
Isaiah 61:1-4 KJV.
“For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin,”Hebrews 4:15 emphasis added.
Jesus, being our perfect example, like many of the Apostles In His humanity, Jesus chose the weak position of learning and growing (Luke 2:52).
He took the hard
road of suffering, because He knew that it was the anointing that was going to break the yokes and to destroy the works of darkness!
Many people are choosing easy street and a glorified way of glamor and
the lime life of what success looks like but there is a parable that says, “Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock: and the rain descended, the floods came, and the
winds blew and beat on that house; and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock. But everyone who hears these sayings of Mine, and does not do them, will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand: And the rain descended, and the floods came,
and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.” (Matthew 7:24-27)
