If God is for me . . . who can be against me?

Above all else, guard your broken heart beloved . . .

No Matter What!

By Mary Lindow

The ‘heart’ that we must guard is our commitment to love and serve The LORD, no matter what!

No… Matter… What…!

The Proverb in the picture that accompanies this post isn’t talking about the heart that pumps blood through our bodies, or the heart we might associate with romance and heart flutters!

It’s stating something. Much like someone who teaches us a skill, or who wants us to be wise about how we think about something, (before we jump into it head on)!

It’s saying, “Hey! It’s wise to Give Jesus your heart in this situation. HE will help you wisely guard it.”

UNFORTUNATELY…… Wisdom is not a computer chip installed in our conscience!

It sure would be convenient though! Every time we are ready to veer off course, the chip could re-route us and, “HEY! DING DING! DING! EASY LIFE!”

Ah…. but that choice thing!

Wisdom is grown, and grown well, when people decide to “go deep” and send down intentional and anchoring roots of obedience to God’s Word, even when it may not make sense to friends who are not interested or who aren’t committed to honoring God.

Yes! It comes, by ASKING GOD for wisdom in whatever you are doing or pursuing. (James 1:5).

It comes by asking, “How would Jesus handle this?” as well as, “How would Jesus have ME handle this?” and, praying for the guidance of God’s Spirit. Then…. waiting for a response.

It all begins with your heart and its alignment.

Its “rightness” with God.

Does your heart have the Divine power and direction it needs?

Let’s right now, ask THE ONE who knows what we need ….. Prayer….

Father God, help me to guard my heart by loving and taking in your Word, taking it into my heart, and seeking the friendship and relationship with those whose hearts are tuned in to your wisdom and are honestly seeking your pathway for their lives.

In Christ’s WISE name I pray,

“Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it spring the issues of life.” Proverbs 4:23 NKJV.

In His Shadow,
