Do YOU Need a Hero?
By Deborah Waldron Fry
We have probably all heard the song, “I need a Hero.”
I am here to tell you that we have One, brothers and sisters! Oh yes!!! Jesus is our Hero!
Yahweh is our Dread Champion, our Valiant Warrior who fights for us! The Holy Spirit is our Paraclete, the One who stands with us in battle!!
fight against you but will never overcome you, since I AM with you to deliver you,” declares the LORD!
“Beloved. When your heart is overwhelmed, come to the Rock which is higher than you. When
you feel like fainting from fear, turn your eyes upon your Dread Champion.
Turn your eyes upon Jesus. Hear what The Spirit is saying. Do not attempt to fight battles on your own, My Child.
The LORD of Hosts is with you to deliver you. The Spirit is your Paraclete, your Constant Companion who stands by you in battle; who stands back-to-back with you in the thickest fray; Who stands over you, in protection
when you fall.
I AM He Who carries you off after the battle and tends to your wounds. You are MORE than a conqueror through Him who loves you.
He who strikes terror into the hearts of your enemies. Though the enemy may come at you one way, He shall flee seven.
You wrestle not against flesh and blood, but principalities and powers, rulers of darkness
and spiritual wickedness in high places.
But know this, GREATER IS HE who is in you than he who is in the world! And the demonic spirits see Jesus in you, My Warrior.
The enemy sees the Champion who stands behind you. He sees the Mighty Holy Spirit within you. He sees My Mark upon you, for you have been sealed forever with the Spirit of Promise.
If your God
be for you, who can be against you? The devil is the accuser of the brethren. All your persecutors will stumble and not prevail.
They will be utterly ashamed, because they have failed, with an everlasting
disgrace that will not be forgotten.
Fix your eyes upon the Holy One, My Warrior, fix your eyes upon your Champion. Fear not.
Neither death nor life,
nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate you from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus your Lord!”
HERO : A Person noted for feats of courage or nobility of purpose, especially one who has risked or SACRIFICED HIS LIFE (free dictionary)
DREAD CHAMPION : (Jeremiah 20:11) from Strong’s
Hebrew 6184: Fearsome, awe-inspiring, terror-striking, awesome, and Strong’s Hebrew 1368: HERO, Mighty One, Valiant Warrior, Strong Man, Brave Man
PARACLETE : Parakletos: Greek: The Holy Spirit who
is “called to one’s aid, to call in, send for, summon, exhort, comfort, console.” One called to aid or support; hence, the Consoler, Comforter, Intercessor; A legal advocate, or counsel for defense, Helper. (biblehub) “Paraclete”
also has a MILITARY SENSE: the Companion who stood by you in battle; who stood back-to-back with you in the thickest fray; who stood over you, in protection, if you fell; who carried you off after the battle and tended your wounds. (Anne Hamilton)
“But the LORD is with me like a DREAD CHAMPION; Therefore my persecutors will stumble and not prevail. They will be utterly ashamed, because they have failed, With an everlasting disgrace that will not be forgotten.”
“I will deliver you out of the hand of the wicked, and redeem you from the grasp of the ruthless.” Jeremiah 15:21.
God, You are awesome in Your sanctuary; the God of Israel Himself gives strength and power to His people. Blessed be God!” Psalm 68:35.
“We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, The Champion
who initiates and perfects our faith. Because of the joy awaiting Him, He endured the cross, despising its shame.” Hebrews 12:2.
“In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth,
the gospel of your salvation; in Whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, who is the guarantee of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, to the praise of His glory.” Ephesians 1:13-14.
“Vengeance is Mine; I will repay. In due time their foot will slip; for their day of disaster is near, and their doom is coming quickly.” Deuteronomy 32:35.
will fight against you but will never overcome you, since I am with you to deliver you,” declares the LORD.” Jeremiah 1:19.
“What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us,
who can be against us? He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things? Who shall bring a charge against God’s elect? It is God who justifies. Who is he who condemns? It is Christ
who died, and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As
it is written: “For Your sake we are killed all day long; We are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.”
Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. For I am
persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
