If You Are Stuck
By Kathy Mote
If you are stuck on your circumstance, you are not in His presence, and you
are carnal. This is walking by your flesh and not being made alive to Him by His Spirit. Jesus being present as Lord of your heart is HOW He fulfills God's promise to raise you, and your circumstance does not stop Him.
Being in His presence will fill your heart with confidence in Him, but you have to surrender your will to Him. Your heart will depend on Him as you trust Him. Your thinking should not be dependent upon your circumstance because your faith isn't.
For years He has stressed how important it is to make Him the desire of your heart because that is the heartbeat of trusting Him as you walk with Him. Accepting His desire for you is essential to what you will become because it is His desire to
transform you!

I Had
A Friend Long Ago
By Kathy Mote
I had a friend long ago who believed that "Yes" was God's ready answer to everything. All that she
supposed and all that she desired was hers for the asking and she based her beliefs on her understanding of one scripture. I used to wonder if we were talking about the same person.
She went about declaring
gaily that God would give her the desires of her heart (no matter what they were), but He was not her desire. She did not know Him as Lord of her heart. Her beliefs were utterly useless in my own relationship with Him. He did not appear this way to me when
I opened my own heart to Him.
She said my beliefs were a drag, and that I would never get what I wanted out of life that way. She had a plan and she was moving forward with it. My own heart swelled with
emotion I could not fathom or define as I realized I had more than I ever wanted in Him. She could keep her bucket list.
Long decades have passed and this morning the Lord reminded me of her. It was foolish
of her to assume God would honor her word when she did not honor Him as Lord. She never knew Him. He said her beliefs were fabricated entirely of her own desires woven together with scripture she had no right to demand of Him.
Christ is God's 'Word', His decree, His final say in all things regarding us. Every desire God has for us is made known to us by 'knowing' Him as Lord as we live in His presence.
It is time
for even His most wayward children to know Him as Lord, to open their hearts to Him and know His power to change them and to stop trying to know Him by knowing scripture, which is backwards. Without knowing Him, they dishonor Him and they have no hope He will
honor what they say of Him.
He is not known in the mind by what we read of Him and knowing scripture is not knowing Him. He is known as LORD in our heart as He fills us. His presence as Lord in us is the promise of Life God intends
for us. This miracle is found only in His presence because it is His presence.
