Increasing Thanksgiving, Relationship
and Faith

As I was on my prayer-walk last night, I felt The LORD urging me to post this personal testimony.
I have to say, through some very challenging times of late, The LORD has been looking after us very well indeed, in both small things, as well as large things. And over the years, we have learned to give thanks for
His blessings, both large and small.
As I was teaching on ‘thanksgiving’ recently, I realized from The LORD, that many Christians, including myself, often take blessings from The LORD for granted,
and even when we do give thanks, we are missing most or much for what The LORD is actually doing for us.
As a result of that Truth which The LORD placed in my heart, we decided to be more attentive to
giving thanks the The LORD in all things and at all times, and even to change my nightly prayer style from prayers of petition, to prayers of thanksgiving.
Then recently, as Jill and I started to recognize
His blessings more and give more, and giving thanks immediately for simple mercies, such as vacent parking spots right at the entrances to the buildings we want to enter, we soon noticed we were receiving more and more such blessings.
Yes, as we gave more thanks to The LORD for His mercies, it was clear we that were receiving more mercies and blessings from Him.
As I talked to The LORD about this on a prayer-walk recently,
I realized that as The LORD is a very good, good Father, He has great enjoyment in blessings us, His Children.
So, as we acknowledge His blessings and thank Him, so too were we strengthening our Relationship
with Him, and becoming closer to Him, and He to us.
As this revelation began to become more clear to me, The LORD got me to look at my levels of Faith, and as I did, it was clear that my increased Relationship
with The LORD, was also dramatically increasing my Faith levels.
That was when I realized that my increased Thanksgiving was strengthening my Relationship with The LORD, and that improved Relationship,
was also increasing my Faith.
As I looked back, it was clear to me that simple Thanksgiving has dramatically changed my life and my Christian walk with The LORD.
Though it was so easy to do, it has opened a profound new understanding of The Father, and my relationship with Him, as His son. I had never felt the reality of that before.
I humbly suggest
you also give Thanksgiving a place in your daily prayer life.
