The Lion in You, Don't Retreat!
By Dana Jarvis
Lion in You, don’t Retreat!
led me on a different trail this morning, but I feel this is something that does need to be released among The Body of Christ!
“And Nadab and Abihu, the sons of Aaron, took either of them his censer,
and put fire therein, and put incense thereon, and offered strange fire before The LORD, which he commanded them not. And there went out fire from The LORD, and devoured them, and they died before The LORD. Then Moses said unto Aaron, This is it that The LORD
spake, saying, I will be sanctified in them that come nigh me, and before all the people I will be glorified. And Aaron held his peace.” Leviticus 10:1-3.
Nadab and Abihu were members of the Levitical
Priesthood, they were the very sons of Aaron the High Priest of Israel. These men were authorized and anointed by God to perform duties on behalf of the people of Israel.
Their calling and election was
sure, but their steps ended up in the wrong direction.
They went before The LORD with strange fire!
All too often we run under our own knowledge and
ability . If we are not careful we will overstep the bounds of where The Spirit is leading and step off into our own knowledge.
Never go where God has not led you, don’t step off into ministering
to people, or giving an interpretation, or preaching a message, or going to anyone with a “word from The LORD”, without first searching out The Will of God and hearing His Voice as He tells you what to do or what to say.
I can from experience say I had received Prophetic Words in the past that left me scratching my head cause I did not feel The LORD in it.
Nadab and Abihu knew the procedure but, went on their
own knowledge to force a move of God.
We should bask in the glory of God when He comes in power to meet with us and trust me he will show up, but we should never be found trying to force people to worship
or to force a message of tongues/ interpretation or force a shout or fall on the ground just because someone pushes on us.
If God doesn’t knock you down by His Power, then don’t let any man
If God doesn’t take your feet and make you dance, then you are moving in the flesh!
I believe in the shout and dancing in The Spirit
and being slain under The Power of God, but it had better be God and not some self made up thing!
If you try to force the worship, fake the shout, and move in your flesh rather than the spirit of God that
is strange fire. It only causes confusion and God is not the author of that.
We all love the anointing most definitely, we love the move of the Spirit, we love the shout and praises of God that come from
deep within our very beings like a fire shut up in our bones, and we love to watch God transform around the altars and see people truly slain in His spirit.
But The Anointing isn’t there when flesh
does those things!
I have totally seen people who were “slain in the Spirit” looking around to see if everyone else fell too.
I have seen
those who were “shouting” looking around to see if anyone else would start. I have seen those in services who began to move under a heavy anointing to minister to people and because they loved that feeling and that anointing, they kept on even
after the anointing left! Even after the Holy Ghost done left the building!
That is a strange fire!
There is only one fire you should operate in and
that is The Fire of The Most High God.
I feel The LORD wants to remind us not to go our own way, but seek after and stay close to him.
then move! Going our own ways and on our own whims, we can be stopped dead in our tracks.
“Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that
it may minister grace unto the hearers. And grieve not the Holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.” Ephesians 4:29-30.
And you crash over me
I’m where you want me to be
I’m going under, I’m
in over my head
Whether I sink, whether I swim
It makes no difference
When I’m beautifully in over my head
Life Is Not a Problem!
Life is not a problem to be solved, but a mystery to be lived.
That is what The Book of Job teaches. We do not live
by explanations, we live by promises. It takes more faith to trust Him when we don’t understand then when we do.
Job didn’t know why all this happened to him, but instead of walking away from
God, he walked towards God with trust.
Your cries has the Masters attention and all of hell is in panic.
Because the King Of Glory has His gaze upon
I literally see Jesus walking and the cries of His Children ringing out into the atmosphere for situations they just don’t understand.
most beautiful part of this vision is I see him turn around.
Jesus turned around!
He will not leave you or forsake you. Let me tell you that you are
here by God’s Appointment.
You are in His keeping always. You are under His wings and this is all for His time.
As C. H. Spurgeon quoted, ”
If I cannot trace His Hand, I can always trust His heart….”
