Recovering Ground

By Abel Praise

Recovering Ground

There is so much grounds to recover; every display of authority in perversion is a sign that a throne in the hands of the ungodly advances perversion and darkness in the earth.

Social media censorship is a lot more than politics; it is a deaf and dumb spirit overstretching its hands into the thrones of media; because for years; we have not censored ungodly voices into our own gates — now the authorities of the media and voices are being used to censor righteous voices.

Complaining, murmuring will not change anything; unless our righteous discontent leads us to walk through the path of repentance and seeking the restoration of the righteous authority to steward the gates of media; voices and messages into the gates of men.

Dethroning Saul

We cannot dethrone Saul until we pursue, overtake and recover all.

Isn’t it amazing that before David ascended the throne; he also was set to fight the two battles Saul lost.

In the battle of philistine were Saul breached protocol, David sought authorization before standing against Goliath: and put the philistines to flight.

In the battle against the Amalekites were Saul displayed selective obedience and pride; failing to kill all as instructed; despising counsel.

David sought counsel; gained authorization to pursue, overtake and recover; and did exactly as the counsel revealed.

Interestingly, soon after David won the battle in Ziklag; conquering the two strongholds that was set for Saul to conquer; Saul died at the next battle.

David was enthroned and went on to fight more battles in the scroll of his kingship expanding the territories of Israel.

Many times we are set on a journey to a throne; in whose path are certain strongholds; in seemingly different circumstances, we must face the same stronghold; one that must be dethroned and displaced.

We must be aware that several may have been set on that path; same examination questions set; under seemingly different circumstances — yet all of Heaven looks upon watching who will prevail and attain the set mark — pursuing, overtaking/ dethroning/displacing and recovering all.

For we must tear down the strongholds that have stood at the gates of the city; if we must stand boldly at the city gates declaring;

“Lift up your heads O ye gates and be ye lifted up ye everlasting doors, that The King of Glory may come in.” (Psalm 24).

“Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us!” (Hebrews 12:1)

The sin that so easily beset one in his track is the temptation from the stronghold we are sent to conquer.

For the stronghold of rebellion; David rose in obedience; for the stronghold of pride; David rose in humility.

What is your race track?

What must you pursue, overtake, so you may recover?

We cannot dethrone Saul until we fulfill the righteous requirements that pursuing, overtaking, recovering all sets us to accomplish.
