Last Night

By Kathy Mote

Last night I had a very difficult time. All I could do was sit and cry. I felt the almost vertigo that happens in the quiet before a deeper revelation of Him shakes the ground I stand on. As I turned in for the night, I said Lord I'm not in the right place.

He said, Tell Me where you are. I answered and said I feel at a loss. I can't focus or concentrate or hang on to what You're saying, if You're saying anything at all! He said, These are things you do. Tell Me where you are.

My heart quieted as I realized, no matter what I feel like, I am on the palm of His hand. I can't make myself anything at all. But I can trust Him.

Our Father said

By Kathy Mote

Our Father said, “Now we come to the bedrock of the difference between your thoughts and My own.”

I marveled that He would reveal the foundation of His thoughts. The thought filled me with the anticipation of things being made right with Him. He said, “The foundation of My thoughts toward you is the Cornerstone.”

He had shown me the place He was building for Himself. It was made of large, beautiful, living stones. The stones were what He called His garden, and He carefully tends it. He said it is the place where He will live. They shined with His Light from the deepest part of them. They are made brilliant as He comes near.

He looks forward to His garden being complete with great joy in His heart. When He is finished, it will be a celebration of Life. The foundation stone was the only one fully set in place. It had been there a long time, trampled by many feet.

His living garden will be filled with His delight. He said He will surround Himself with beauty when all is made right. When He is finished, all of creation will reflect His heart.

*I used a picture of a flower for this, a pure and beautiful flower growing in the world, which is a very dark place. I am amazed by how dark it is compared to the Light that is in Him. Be blessed as you grow in Him.

When Someone Tests Your Metal

By Kathy Mote

The Lord said, “When someone tests your metal, they prove who you are. If they didn't already know who you are, why would they bother to test you at all? What they want to 'test' is your place in My heart. They already know it, or they wouldn't be jealous of it. This is why they try to drag you down. You have something they don't, and they can't stand the thought of it.

The harder they press, the stronger your heart becomes. You are like a rare and beautiful gem being created in the Earth. Like a gem, it is through heat and pressure that you shine. I will surround Myself with such as these, My beautiful ones.”

We Are In A Season Of Transition

By Kathy Mote

We are in a season of transition because the Lord is about to bring about great change. So that we will know that His heart is our home, He is melding our hearts with His.

We will always return to His heart. We will always be seeking Him. Like an infant desires the comfort of its own mother, our hearts will desire Him above all things. This will keep us in His presence in a season when He brings great change.

Knowing what He is doing in the world does not build our trust in Him. Knowing Him in our heart builds our trust in Him. His presence is the bond between our heart and His, and we will never turn aside from Him.

The Lord said everyone who is exposed to the move of His mighty hand is traumatized by it. Such exposure to Him is the knowledge of Him. It takes us out of this life and into the reality of His presence, forever to stay with Him. Those who are brought this close to Him have nothing to go back to in this life. They learn to live in Him.

I had a friend who thought I was pathetic. She felt sorry for me because all I had in my life was Him. She didn't know what I had come to realize, that beyond Him there is no life. He said, “That is what everyone will see. When I'm done, everyone will come to Me.”

This Morning

By Kathy Mote

This morning I hear the Lord singing a song I haven't heard in years. The line He is singing tells me something we are just now ready to hear.

Everything's meant to be broken. I just want you to know Who I AM.

We hold to the things and the people we love in this life, but we were meant to know and trust His heart in all things. As He is the desire of our heart, He shows us we can trust His heart in all things.

There are many who are currently facing the prospect of surrendering their loved ones to Him. I am sent to say, He loves them more than we do, and He will be gentle with them. He holds them in the palm of His hand.

We are meant to see that everything in this life falls short of the glory that is in Him, something we don't see until we surrender it all to Him. Every desire of our heart should be entrusted to Him. This world is a short pour, and He has all we will ever need.

*Short pour means a small and pitiful amount compared you what our portion is and what our 'cup', or heart, will hold.

For The Record

By Kathy Mote

For the record, we are told to declare His works. What that means is we are to be living proof of what it is to be changed by Him. Because we are His workmanship, we will declare the mighty works of His hands.

“I Will Give You Great Beauty”

By Kathy Mote

The Lord said, “I will give you great beauty. What will you do with it?”

My answer didn't take me long. After all He has taught me, I will not take my eyes from Him. Neither will I live my life by my own hands. In His presence is my very existence. All of eternity belongs to Him.

This is to say I would do with beauty what I have done with the ugliness that has served to humble me. I would surrender my heart to Him in it, knowing it belongs to Him.
