As I Slept
As I slept, the Lord spoke to me. I looked back at myself as I lay sleeping, but I was awake with Him. He took my hand, inviting me to walk with Him, and as I
hesitated, He leaned close to me and whispered, Be who I called you to be.
This brought back to my thoughts all the things He had said before, like having butterfly feet that would take me where I wouldn't
otherwise be able to go. He took my hand and we began to walk. As I gazed into His eyes, I floated alongside Him, having no trouble keeping up with Him like I did before.
Well, I was filled with such delight
at what He had allowed me to do, several things flew through my mind. First was that I could fly. Then I looked around, wondering what it would be like to soar, soar, soar. He cautioned me, saying those same words He had said before, Stay with Me now. Be who
I called you to be with Me. Looking back, I am reminded of Peter, who had asked to walk on water with Him.
But I hadn't asked to walk on water, or to fly. All I wanted was to obey. But we can't walk with
Him and go where He goes without walking by His Spirit. As my Father pressed my heart to obey Him, I found it difficult in so many ways. As willing as I was, it didn't give me the knowledge of His ways.
was so willing, but there is much about walking in His Spirit that I just didn't know or understand. Like wanting to reach many on facebook instead of trusting HE will reach whom He wills by His Spirit as I stand with Him. That takes a measure of trust that
only comes by His Spirit.
Our thinking is carnal because that is all we know until His thinking is revealed. When He poured out the Holy Spirit in a closed and locked upper room, the whole world for thousands
of years to come received. Man doesn't accomplish God's will, God accomplishes His will.
So this is what I have learned about walking with Him and becoming all He calls you to be. You become as He is by
His work in your heart. It is His presence in you that enables you to walk with Him, and all that you are is what He calls you as He calls you to Him.
As for my own heart, I love, love, love Him. It is
His love that consumes my heart. The more simple and childlike, the more devoid of ambition of any kind that love is, the deeper my fellowship with Him. That is how we are to live.
I Used To Think I Was A Stranger
By Kathy Mote
I used to think I was a stranger in the world. Even in my own life, I just couldn't fit in. I used to think it was my own flaws that
singled me out and excluded me from being part of the life going on around me, but that was not the case at all. I look around me and now I see that it is the world that is strange and flawed. This is no place to fit in.
It is a great mercy God has shown to all His precious ones who have never felt they fit in. What a heartbreak it would have been to be suddenly exposed when the Lord pulled back the veil.
world is going bonkers, and I refuse to look at anything but Him. The Lord said He would expose and reveal what is in every heart, that they might cry out and be made right with Him. He said this two years ago, but this is not at all how I imagined it would
be. This may be brutal, and ugly, but we are about to witness a great miracle. Everyone is being corrected that their hearts be brought before Him.
I Know A Man
By Kathy Mote
I know a man who is mortally offended by the very idea that God would talk. He said we have scriptures and that's all we need. He
said I was arrogant to say that God spoke to me and that's before I told him what God said!
So, obviously there are camps and schools of thought on this, and those who have not heard Him won't. Not until
He changes their heart. But to judge someone else's relationship with God based on our own only proves that relationship is indeed a very personal experience.
We Are No Longer
By Kathy Mote
We are no longer living in the time that people sacrificed animals while they waited for Christ. We are no longer living in the time when they
only had the ten commandments to live by. We are now filled with His Spirit, and His love revealed to our heart is how we live as we respond to Him. The commandments are fulfilled by walking in love.
are things that have occurred during humanity's history that have kept us in our place as we waited for the next thing to come. They all came from God's hand. In the day of Isaiah the promise of Christ was given. They waited, hoping for Him until He appeared.
When He was born was a pivotal time in human history. When He was crucified was another moment that changed our intended growth and trajectory. When He sent the Holy Spirit to fill us with comfort and guide us to Him
was another pivotal time. That is how we have been living since then.
These things keep us in our place until the next thing revealed from God. As a race we are being created according to God's design. Our Father considers us all one
Creation, even though we are individual, each one separate and precious to Him.
In this time we are waiting for His return and when He comes again we will be made perfect in Him. When He comes, we will
be perfectly filled. When we see Him face to face, there will be nothing lacking in our knowledge of Him, and nothing of Him lacking in us.
It might serve us to be more humble and say what we know is what
He teaches us as we learn to honor Him. So many things have been temporary. We have no idea of God's heart until His heart is revealed to us. So in all humility, we stand before Him, each one of us intent on hearing and obeying Him.
We won't fully understand scripture until He fulfills it in us, but we will when He appears. Everything we knew outside His presence pales in comparison to the Truth He reveals by His presence as He draws us near. As He brings us into His presence,
we walk in the Life He reveals.
A fair comparison might be to say a caterpillar doesn't understand what it is to be a butterfly until it has been changed. Only after it is changed can it know what it is
to have wings. God promised us that we would be changed.
As The Lord Continues
By Kathy Mote
As the Lord continues to correct my heart, He is changing my personality. As He teaches me to respond to Him, I am becoming as He
is. I am, in a word, quieter, so that I may better hear Him, and as I hear Him, I obey Him, becoming more like Him. Nothing more, and nothing less. Honoring Him is peaceful, humble, and respectful. As for my life, there is no strife in it.
Are In A Time
By Kathy Mote
We are in a time of transition into a place in Him that is far deeper. But we wouldn't have called it that.
What we would have called it is a time of uncertainty, but it is causing our hearts to snuggle into Him.
His ways are so much higher that we cannot fathom them, but He is teaching us to yield our heart
to Him to know Him. His presence IS the river in the desert, and as He moves us, we will flow with Him.
If your pride is insulted by the thought of being told that you don't know Him, then that is what
He is overcoming as He draws you closer to Him. This is a time of transition into a deeper walk with Him. The Lord said to comfort your heart with songs that praise Him.
