The Lord Said

By Kathy Mote

The Lord said, “You are like the succulent growing strong in the desert winds, watered from a well that flows from within. You are carefully tended in the harsh environment you are in. Even now, you see the storm that rages around you is of My making. Before I am through, the whole Earth will be cleansed.”

Our Father Said

By Kathy Mote

Our Father said Jesus is the expression of His heart. His kindness, His devotion, His selfless and obedient heart is what God desires to fill us with.

There Are Many Who Steal His Sword

By Kathy Mote

The Lord said there are many who steal His Sword, usurp His authority and use His name to fight their own battles in life. What they do is fight in their flesh on behalf of their pride. He said, There are few who truly trust Me, but they will see Me rush to their defense. The day quickly comes when I will vindicate their life.

I Would Like To Share Something

By Kathy Mote

I would like to share something the Lord taught me about abiding. He taught me this in a time when my life was under siege. He spoke to my heart very kindly, saying, I've got you. Do you trust Me?

In a situation that would have ruined my life, terror had come to live in my heart. I was not asked by the Lord to trust that my life would go the way I wanted, I was asked if I trusted Him. By asking if I trusted Him, He was asking if I trusted His will for me. He was asking if I trusted His love and His ability to save.

His question searched my heart and changed my life. In that moment He changed how I live and move and breathe. I trust Him as Lord, so I trust His will. I trust His love, so I embrace His will as I am embraced by Him. I am filled with the comfort of His presence where there is provision and peace.

So when trials come, I look into His eyes which are always upon me, and I give my heart to Him. He is, above all, gentle as He preserves my heart and my life which belong to Him. Since that day my heart knows no striving. No fear comes near to torment me. No uncertainty unsettles my heart. I abide in His presence as He brings about His perfect will, which I am just now beginning to realize is far more beautiful than I can conceive.

One thing I should mention is you cannot hold onto the things of this life and hold onto the hem of His sleeve at the same time. This is to say that to trust His will is not to tell Him what you want it to be. Each time you worry or fret or fear, you are doubting His love and ability to save, and He will ask you once again to trust Him with your heart and your life.
