For So Long

By Kathy Mote

For so long, the church has been quick to fight the devil. They have blamed the devil, focused on the devil, making their life all about fighting and warring against the devil and casting out the devil, forgetting that's not how we overcome and that is not how we Live.

That is carnal thinking that does not see or acknowledge Christ. They have read the scriptures and what they saw was fight, fight, fight, fight, fight. But this is not the reality of knowing and walking with Christ.

They walked in their aggressive carnal nature, not accepting Christ's invitation into God's presence to know His heart. Not seeing Him, or that His sacrifice delivered them, not being changed by Him, or filled by Him, they did not know Him.

To fight is not what we are invited to do. This is the thinking of one far from being right with God's heart. Adam did the same thing, blaming Eve for their falling out when he could have turned to God. To blame someone else is the first reaction of one that is out of God's presence, and not right with His heart.

We are to turn our heart to the Lord and live our life by responding to Him.

We don't fight the devil to do this. We don't overcome the devil to walk with the Lord, we give our heart to Him to walk with Him. In the Lord's presence, the devil is not the focus of our life, the Lord is. He is mighty to save and that's the point. In the Lord's presence, the devil flees.

There Is A Beautiful Difference

By Kathy Mote

There is a beautiful difference between Him speaking to you and you praying to Him. We pray to Him without much thought about this, but He knows our heart, He knows our circumstance, He knows what's on our mind, and He knows His will for our heart and our situation. So much of what we do is not done out of response to Him, it is a habit, a religion.

He is inviting us to listen, and hear Him. In any relationship where you wish to know someone's thoughts, you would be still and listen. He is inviting His children to hear Him.

The Lord Said

By Kathy Mote

The Lord said when we can see and hear Him face to face, we will walk with Him face to face. We will stop seeing the Bible as something to practice, and the promise of Him will cease to be a religion.

By Making the Gospel A Religion

By Kathy Mote

By making the Gospel a religion we preach, teach and practice instead of the Truth we accept personally from Him, we have missed Him and what He has done for us. By not living in His presence, we have missed being free of the striving He has delivered us from.

Those Who Have Made A living Out of Counseling Others

By Kathy Mote

Those who have made a living out of counseling others to fight the devil are about to go out of business. The whole Truth and nothing but the Truth combats the lie in a dimension of warfare that has been hidden since the foundation of creation. Christ in you saves you. All you need is Him.

Pride Is The Condition of Being Fallen

By Kathy Mote

Pride is the condition of being fallen out of God's presence. It is the expression of the heart that is without Him. Pride literally means seeing oneself, and rising up without Him. Like Lucifer did. The devil doesn't influence us, he tempts us.

The inclination to rise up against God is in our very nature until we learn to surrender our heart to Him. Then we live by His love for us. He invites us to enter into a relationship with Him to save us from rising up against Him without Him.

I’ve Never Been One To Shy Away

By Kathy Mote

I've never been one to shy away from stating the obvious. It occurs to me that we are all waiting for Christ's return. We are all waiting for Him to appear to make things right. As I thought on this, He made me aware that what He is waiting for is trust to be established in our heart that all things be made right in us. We may be waiting for Him to appear, but He is waiting for trust to appear in our heart. Blessed are those who believe.
