The Prayer of Intercession
By Margie Fleurant
The prayer of intercession is a different form of prayer compared to the prayer of faith. When praying the prayer of faith, you are praying for yourself, for your
own needs to be met; you believe you receive and thank God for the answer. The prayer of intercession is made on the behalf of another. The intercessor knows God, and knows who he is in Christ Jesus. He boldly goes to the throne of grace in order to bring
spiritual, physical or emotional help for someone in need. Because of this intercessors love, faith and persistence, he is able to accomplish success in prayer on behalf of this person.
reward is from God, and it does not matter to him if his friend at home knows who labored in prayer for him. The only thing that matters is that God sees and He has promised to reward the intercessor. Hebrews 6:10 tells us that God is not unrighteous to forget
your work and labor of love. You are laying up treasures in heaven. These labors will follow you and great will be your reward.
"Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast,
immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord."(1 Corinthians 15:58)
