In the Midst of a Storm

By Deborah Waldron Fry

In the Spirit, I see a Child of God in the midst of a storm.

It looks like a sand storm, where everything is swirling around so fast, the particles are hitting his face and he is almost blinded by the ferocity of it and visibility is at zero.

But suddenly, in the midst of this demonic whirlwind, an Oasis appears. They didn’t know it but an Angel had been guiding them through the storm and into this Place of Rest.

“Beloved. I AM your Oasis in the midst of the chaos. I AM right here in the midst of the blinding storm.

Though you may feel lost at times, know My Child that I have you by the hand. You are not blind, but now you see.

My Spirit is your Guide. He will lead you to the Living Waters. I AM the Fountain of Life in the midst of the desert.

Remember not the former things, neither consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall you not know it?

I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.

I have given My Angels charge over you to keep you in all your ways. They are your Guardians at all times.

I declare, “Peace, be still” to your enemies. Though the storms rage around you, you dwell in My Presence and My Peace.

No force of hell can touch you here, Beloved. You are in Me and I in you. Do not look at the storm, but look to Me.

Rejoice and be glad in My Salvation for the Spirit has been poured out upon you from on High. The desert will be an orchard, and the orchard a forest. And the lame will leap like a deer and the mute tongue will shout for joy.

For waters will gush forth in the wilderness, and streams in the desert. I will make your wilderness like Eden and your desert like the Garden of the LORD. Joy and gladness will be found in her, thanksgiving and melodious song.

Do not despair, My Bride. I AM your Oasis in the midst of the storms of life. I AM drawing you near. The Bridegroom has come. Come into My Garden of Joy, Beloved.

I turn your graves into Gardens. I AM the Shalom Peace in every storm. The Sun of Righteousness is Shining Brilliantly.

The enemy is blinded, but your eyes shall see. I AM healing, restoring, refreshing, renewing.

The Breath of the Spirit is a Gentle Breeze upon your face. The shadows flee in My Presence.

I AM the Fountain of Life; in My Light you shall see Light. Fear not, you are coming out of this wilderness leaning on your Beloved.”

“For I AM the LORD your God who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you.” Isaiah 41:13.

“He led you through the vast and terrifying wilderness with its venomous snakes and scorpions, a thirsty and waterless land. He brought you water from the rock of flint.” Deuteronomy 8:15.

“He brought streams from the stone and made water flow down like rivers.” Psalm 78:16.

“For with You is the fountain of life; in Your light we see light.” Psalm 36:9.

“Each will be like a shelter from the wind, a refuge from the storm, like streams of water in a dry land, like the shadow of a great rock in an arid land.” Isaiah 32:2.

“The wilderness and the land will be glad; the desert will rejoice and blossom like a rose.” Isaiah 35:1.

“And in that day it will be said, ‘Surely this is our God; we have waited for Him, and He has saved us. This is the LORD for whom we have waited. Let us rejoice and be glad in His salvation.’” Isaiah 25:9.

“Until the Spirit is poured out upon us from on high. Then the desert will be an orchard, and the orchard will seem like a forest.” Isaiah 32:15.

“Then the lame will leap like a deer and the mute tongue will shout for joy. For waters will gush forth in the wilderness, and streams in the desert.” Isaiah 35:6.

“For the LORD will comfort Zion and will look with compassion on all her ruins; He will make her wilderness like Eden and her desert like the garden of the LORD. Joy and gladness will be found in her, thanksgiving and melodious song.” Isaiah 51:3.

“For the LORD takes pleasure in His people; He adorns the afflicted with salvation.” Psalm 149:4.

“Until the day breathes and the shadows flee, I will go to the mountain of myrrh and the hill of frankincense.” Song of Solomon 4:6.
