If God is for me . . . who can be against me?

What Someone Else Does

By Kathy Mote

What someone else does is where their heart is. But that is not where our heart is. We do not answer them, we answer Him. He is where our heart is. He is where our hope is.

We Have Come To The Place

By Kathy Mote

We have come to the place where we need to fully trust in Him. Clinging to what He has already given us is not trusting Him or relying on Him and there is no comfort in this.

You will have far more peace just trusting Him.

Something I Learned About Surrender

By Kathy Mote

Something I learned about surrender is we don't give God His will in our life, we give Him ours. So when you say, Lord, I give you this situation, what you mean is, Lord, I surrender my will to You in this situation. I trust Your will for me in it so deeply, I will not fear, or struggle, or strive in it.

In a surrendered heart there is trust, gratitude and peaceable rest, not uncertainty, bitterness, anger or resentment. A surrendered heart belongs to Him. It is one where He is present. There is no room for anyone or anything in your heart but Him, and there is nothing to rage against.

As you give your heart to Him, you will live, move and have your being in the heart that belongs to Him. You will see Him and His power to preserve, provide and protect what is His. The heart given to Him is the place where He dwells. That is where you will see His love, His power, and His greatness.

Those of Us

By Kathy Mote

Those of us who stand in the Lord's presence didn't pay nearly the price that those the Lord used to humble us did.

After A Very Difficult Afternoon

By Kathy Mote

After a very difficult afternoon of feeling like I was walking through a fog in the desert, I cried out to the Lord to help me understand His purpose in it. He asked me, “What kind of day am I having, sis?” My heart rose as I chose to trust Him and joy sprung up from a deep well in my heart. I said to Him, “You are having an excellent day, Lord! You are having Your way in my heart!”

What I realized as I chose to trust His love for me even though I didn't understand what He was doing in the moment is that He is teaching us to have a heart that is worthy of the gift He is giving us, which is His presence in us.

I had assumed that His presence enabled me to serve Him and that His purpose in me was not a gift, but He said, “Oh yes it is!” His presence in me serves His purpose and that is to correct my heart as He brings me to Him.

He is giving us a heart that is worthy of His presence by teaching us to trust what He is doing in us. Our trust is our response to Him. His presence in us accomplishing His will to bring us to Him is His greatest gift.
