FIRE BY NIGHT
By Glenn H. Jackson
"Reflections Upon Reflections" [of The Father's Heart]
...."You, in Your
great compassion, did not forsake them in the wilderness; The pillar of cloud did not leave them by day, to guide them on their way, or the pillar of fire by night, to light for them the way in which they were to go".... Nehemiah 9:19 NASB
FOR ONE TO "ABIDE" IN AN ABSOLUTE FAITH THEY MUST KEEP THEIR EYES "FIXED" ON THAT WHICH IS NOT SEEN
Words of prophecy:
It was the "invisible" that created the visible THEREFORE that which is "not seen" is more real than that which is "seen" [temporal; discerned through the five physical senses] - in view of spiritual reality.
...."By faith we understand that the worlds were prepared by the word of God, so that what is seen was not made out of things which are visible".... Hebrews 11:3 NASB
_____...."We consider and look not to the things that are seen[the lower reality - that which is real to the five physical senses] but to the things that are unseen [through faith in the higher Reality of God's Word];
for the things that are visible are temporal (brief and fleeting) [subject to change], but the things that are invisible are deathless and everlasting [Eternal]".... 2 Corinthians 4:18 The Amplified Translation
...."My son, give attention to my words; Incline your ear to my sayings. Do not let them depart from your sight; Keep them in the midst of your heart. For they are life to those who find them And health to all their body. Watch over your heart with all diligence,
For from it flow the springs of life. Put away from you a deceitful mouth And put devious speech far from you. Let your eyes look directly ahead And let your gaze be fixed straight in front of you. Watch the path of your feet And all your ways will be established.
Do not turn to the right nor to the left; Turn your foot from evil".... Proverbs 4:20-27 NASB
Many are "attempting" to walk in an absolute faith [trust]
in the Father [and His Will] while keeping their eyes fixed [focused] on the things that are "seen" [perceived through the five physical senses]. For one to "abide" in an absolute faith [trust] they MUST keep their eyes "fixed" on that which is not seen [perceived
through the five physical senses] but, rather, that which is a product of a revelation of the Father's Will "actively" burning in their heart [Hebrews 12:1-2].
Prayer of Proclamation:
Father, we thank You and praise You that You have raised us up a people who are found faithful to keep our eyes "fixed" [focused]
on the things that are NOT seen - a people who walk by faith and NOT by sense knowledge and perceptions. And we declare it DONE [on an ongoing basis], in the Name of Jesus - to Your greatest Glory. Amen.
