"Reflections Upon Reflections" [of The Father's Heart]

...."You, in Your great compassion, did not forsake them in the wilderness; The pillar of cloud did not leave them by day, to guide them on their way, or the pillar of fire by night, to light for them the way in which they were to go".... Nehemiah 9:19 NASB

Words of Prophecy:

*____Moment to moment "waiting" upon [ministering unto] and seeking [listening to] Me from the position of a heart wholly given are the only means by which an "absolute" success in every spiritual endeavour is assured.

____...."It [the vision] hastens toward the goal and it will not fail. Though it tarries, wait for it; For it will certainly come, it will not delay. Behold, as for the proud one, his soul is not right within him; But the righteous will live by his faith".... Habakkuk 2:3-4 NASB

____...."But those who wait for the Lord [who expect, look for, and hope in Him] shall change and renew their strength and power; they shall lift their wings and mount up [close to God] as eagles [mount up to the sun]; they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint or become tired. [Heb. 12:1-3. ".... Isaiah 40:31 The Amplified Translation

...."Therefore be patient, brethren, until the coming of the Lord. See how the farmer waits for the precious fruit of the earth, waiting patiently for it until it receives the early and latter rain. You also be patient. Establish your hearts, for the coming of the Lord is at hand".... James 5:7-8 NASB

____ The first key to "waiting" upon God in a steadfast faith, love and obedience is giving the Word of God preeminence in our daily walk - something that is defined by the Holy Spirit in the life of each individual believer [Joshua 1:5-8].

____A second key is speaking [proclaiming] the Word out loud - as faith comes by hearing and supernatural hearing by the anointed Word of God [Romans 10:17]. It is also the manner in which we resist the Enemy in bringing EVERY thought captive to a revelation of the Father's Will [2 Corinthians 10:5].

____A third key is praying in the Spirit.

...."But you, beloved, build yourselves up [founded] on your most holy faith [make progress, rise like an edifice higher and higher], praying in the Holy Spirit; Guard and keep yourselves in the love of God; expect and patiently wait for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah)--[which will bring you] unto life eternal".... Jude 1:20-21 The Amplified Translation

____A fourth key is being silent at times before the Lord in the secret place of His Presence.

...."[Hush!] Be silent before the Lord God, for the day [of the vengeance] of the Lord is near".... and He has set apart [for His use] those who have accepted His invitation".... Zephaniah 1:7 The Amplified Translation

____The fifth key - and this, too, deals with a proper "waiting upon the Lord" is simply the practice of one putting themselves in a position to hear the voice of the Holy Spirit and THEN doing [acting upon His instruction] what He gives unction to do. One of the traps many fall into while "waiting" upon the Lord is that they unconsciously [although we should always be conscious of it] let their diligence slip - and, thus, they enter into a place of passivity.

____This place of passivity breeds such things a darkness, boredom and lethargy. It also creates the mind-set that we are somehow "waiting" for God to do something when, in reality, He is calling us to an "abiding" faith and trust [what one might call an "active waiting" {service}] in that which He has already proclaimed and prepared for us from before the foundations of the earth ["the place called Done"].

...."For we are God's [own] handiwork [His workmanship], recreated in Christ Jesus, [born anew] that we may do those good works which God predestined [planned beforehand] for us [taking paths which He prepared ahead of time], that we should walk in them [living the good life which He prearranged and made ready for us to live]".... Ephesians 2:10 The Amplified Translation

...."So also faith [waiting upon - and ministering to the Lord], if it does not have works [deeds and actions of obedience to back it up], by itself is destitute of power [inoperative, dead]".... James 2:17 The Amplified Translation

Prayer of Proclamation:

Father, we thank You and praise You that You, through the years, have taught us how to wait "properly" upon You. We thank You and praise You that we are a people who NO longer are waiting for you to do the things You have ALREADY DONE - through the "finished work" of Jesus. Help us, in and by Your Spirit, to abide in "the place called Done" that we might be found bearing maximum fruit for the Church and the Kingdom in this most glorious hour - and we declare it done in the Name of Jesus. Amen.

"the place called Done" - is the place wherein one rests in the "finished" work of the Lord Jesus Christ [and, thus, the entire scope of the Father's Will - past, present and future] through the continual exercising of an absolute faith, love, and obedience. It is the place wherein the Grace of God continually abounds towards one - empowering them perfectly in ALL things.

____...."For God is not unrighteous to forget or overlook your labor and the love which you have shown for His name's sake in ministering to the needs of the saints [His own consecrated people], as you still do. But we do [strongly and earnestly] desire for each of you to show the same diligence and sincerity [all the way through] in realizing and enjoying the full assurance and development of [your] hope until the end, In order that you may not grow disinterested and become [spiritual] sluggards, but imitators, behaving as do those who through faith [by their leaning of the entire personality on God in Christ in absolute trust and confidence in His power, wisdom, and goodness] and by practice of patient endurance and waiting are [now] inheriting the promises".... Hebrews 6:10-12 The Amplified Translation
