We Don’t Fight Against Flesh And Blood

By Kathy Mote

We don't fight against flesh and blood. People are not what we rise above to overcome and walk in peace, it is darkness we rise above in His presence. If people were the perpetrators of all the warfare, the battle wouldn't be for our peace, or our relationship with Him, and the target wouldn't be where our heart is.

No, the devil is behind all the warfare that comes against our peace. What he comes against is God's Kingdom in us. His purpose is to keep dominion and power. To look at the people who are in darkness is to be distracted from the Truth. They are not who decides where we stand, the Lord is as we keep our focus on Him.

The devil is fighting wildly with everything he's got to stop us from entering into our Father's presence, for it is there we become all we were meant to be, and that is what terrifies the devil who wars against God. As the Lord brings us into Him to finish what He started in us, the devil loses ground all around us. This heralds the end of his time on the Earth. That is what he fights against. The clock is ticking for him as glory awaits us.

We Think About What We Just Listened To

By Kathy Mote

We think about what we just listened to. We react to what we see. We respond from our heart to what we are passionate about. We were made to be this way, but not so that we would react and respond to the world around us.

We were created to hear His voice, to enter into fellowship with Him to know His heart and respond to Him. Our hearts were built for passion and compassion. We were made to be delighted by Him because He delights in us. He created us to express His love for us.

There Are Things

By Kathy Mote

There are things we do not know about God, so there things we misunderstand as we read about what He promised us. He is creating us. The Life He promised us, He brings us into by being in us. God is Spirit, and His Kingdom is in our heart.

The mystery of what God is doing in us is hidden in Christ, and we won't understand it until He has brought us fully into Him. He does this as He brings His Life fully into us.

We were not meant to receive what He is giving us any other way but through Christ in us. Even if we knew about the Life in Him, we could not accomplish it. Alive in Him is what we will be as we are taken into His embrace and filled with His breath of Life in us. He will transform us. That is why every moment of our life, He is teaching us to receive Him, and trust Him, and give our heart to Him.

The Reason We Are Told

By Kathy Mote

The reason we are told to receive Jesus in our heart is HE is the Life we are promised. The Life God offers us is HIM, and we open our heart to receive Him. The Life God gives us IS His presence. We don't quote the scriptures to receive the LIFE that His presence is. HE IS LIFE, He is Spirit, and Him being in us brings us into the Life that is promised. As powerful as the Holy Spirit is, the scriptures say He is the promise that leads us to Him.

A Word For Someone

By Kathy Mote

A word for someone who is not getting along with everyone else. Oh, what drama they will heap on your head. If you want to answer to everyone else, you will have to know their heart and follow it. Be advised, as you do this, you will allow them to run your life.

If you want to walk with the Lord in this life, you have to know and follow HIS heart, not everyone else's. As you lean into Him and trust Him with your life, He will guide you in all of your ways. This means He will teach you to walk with Him and as He does, you will be His, and no one else's.

When The Lord Anoints You

By Kathy Mote

When the Lord anoints you by His presence, you are made able to obey His purpose and His will. This has a dramatic affect on the people who try to get close to you. First of all, they are aware of Him only secondhand and their response is to you and not Him. This confuses their heart and they compete with you or put you on a pedestal. Neither is appropriate. They struggle with you being different, something they just can't help but resent.

What they don't realize is the cost, or how He has brought you to Him. The cost is something those in His presence refuse to give voice to. They don't consider the cost, for doing so is not His heart for them. They are dedicated to Him because of His presence in them. He overwhelms them with His love. He heals them as He speaks with them.

This is how He sets them apart. He is present in them, and those who are an observer do not understand. Resentment destroys all chance of fellowship. In fact, it is a knife in their hand. You're probably expecting me to tell you to remain in fellowship with them. I am saying the opposite, and I hope you will understand.

As the Lion roars, the Eagles fly to Him. That is His purpose and His presence in them. As we rise to obey, we can't take our friends with us, and we don't question His purpose in them. To receive Him is personal and they must also come to Him. As we obey Him, we leave them in His hands.

If Everyone of Us Spoke

By Kathy Mote

If everyone of us spoke only what the Lord said to us, we would be walking in the Truth, saying only what we know first hand.
