We Read In The Bible

By Kathy Mote

We read in the Bible that faith comes (into our heart) by hearing the Word. We assumed that meant the Gospel being preached to us. But this is how the Truth walks and talks, and this is the reality of Him filling you. You believe Him as He speaks to you.

It is hard to trust a God you don't know. It is impossible to trust intimately unless you know Him intimately. In my life I have come to realize that my ability to trust Him comes by Him being in my heart to show me His love for me. I trust what He says to me as He speaks to me. As He reveals His heart to me, He is healing me. As He reveals His will for me, that is what He is doing in me.

Our understanding deepens the more intimately we know Him. 'The Word' is Jesus Christ. He is the Rock of ages. He is the cornerstone of God's creation, and we stumble without Him. He is the Way. He is God's will for us and HE is who we hear. The deeper we open our heart to Him, the more we are able to hear Him. Our confidence in Him comes by knowing and hearing Him.

The Lord Said

By Kathy Mote

The Lord said we are entering a season of sudden change, the kind of change that is least expected. We have the tendency to measure where we are by how we feel, but in this season, we will learn not to do this as He proves Himself powerful in us to change us. We haven't felt too perky lately, nor have we felt confident. Our hearts have been humbled as we have been humbled to prepare us to walk in the change that will come upon us.

I'd like to say that the world will turn around in the days to come, that things will get better, that it is time to stop all the madness. But I see the Lord shaking the world, and in the midst, He will be raising us. So as the world seems to plumb the depths of what it is to be rotten without Him, we will be learning the depths of His heart for us as He lifts us out of all doubt of Him.

The weight of His presence will anchor us to Him, and our hearts will soar as we are made sure of Him. The angels who stand guard over us have been looking forward to this. I hear the Lord say His presence in us will be glorious.

You Don’t Become

By Kathy Mote

The Lord said, You don't become what I say by knowing what I say in your head. You become as I say by trusting Me in your heart. Your heart is the seat of all you are. You are Spirit, and you are light.

The Enemy

The enemy is pathetic. That is becoming obvious.

We All Want The Lord

By Kathy Mote

We all want the Lord to bless our life, but living our life in His presence is the greatest blessing He gives. You can't help but trust Him in a life He is present in.

So many want what He has to give, but they don't think about what He asked them to give in order to receive. Jesus is the Life God gives, and you open your heart to receive Him. Like any mutual exchange of love, you give Him your heart as He gives you His. You give Him your life as He brings you into His. You are the love of His life, and He is the Love of yours.

Have you ever dealt with someone who tried to take advantage of your heart, use you for what they could get without caring for your heart? You learn not to give your heart away after the first time. You recognize sincerity, and after that, true love is what you hold out for.

Someone who is sincere will give and not take. Integrity is what they show in their actions and speech. Love is what they want, so love is what they give. There is only one kind of relationship where love is exchanged, and that is where both give, and neither take.

That is what love is. It means to give. Love is His nature. It is what He gives. The only way to receive what He gives is to honor the gift He gives, and as you open your heart to receive Him, you give all your heart to Him.

The Justice

By Kathy Mote

The justice of God's presence is that He will empty you before He fills you. The glory of God's presence will humble you before it is revealed to you.
