If God is for me . . . who can be against me?

I understand what He told me . . .

I Understand What He Told Me

By Kathy Mote

I understand what He told me. My problem is expressing it with words we understand. Our heart is who we are, but we are only made alive in Him as we are filled with Him. (Remember, He is Spirit and He is Life.) When our hearts are filled and made a part of Him is what He called our spirit man. We always use words that convey a lesser, more carnal understanding when we speak of Him because we do not fully understand Him.

As I tried to get the right words to convey what He revealed to me, He said in a kindly voice that while we are here His desire is for us to trust, not to understand. Understanding Him won't help us give Him our heart to fill. Only knowing His love will knit us together with Him.

Our Heart Is The Sum

By Kathy Mote

The Lord said our heart is the sum of who we are. His Spirit in our heart is the Life He gives. This beautiful, terrible, wonderful gift of Life comes by Christ Jesus. He is our Father's heart revealed and as He is in our heart, that is what He reveals. As we receive Him, we receive the Life God gives. He is Spirit, He is Truth and He is Love. His heart burns and opens our heart like a flame, and from that moment, we are consumed by His desire for us and our desire for Him.

He explained that our heart is our spirit that abides in Him. Our heart filled with His Spirit is what He receives as we are made alive by Him. All Life is in Him, and if we are alive, it is by Him. This tells me that Spirit means Life and describes Him.

We are all given our time on this Earth. To each of us He has given one life and He measures our time. We are walking, talking, and able to choose what to do with our life, but we don't have the power to preserve our life or make it last beyond the time we have in our earthen body, which is no more sturdy than a clay pot. We will come face to face with Him the minute we leave this place. Those who know Him look forward to that.

Whether we believe this or not, whether we believe Him or not, He is still Who we will face when we leave this Earth. The most blessed are those who know His love for them. They have no fear of death, for in His presence they are made alive. His love cannot be measured, and neither can the Life He gives.

Surrender is the Quickest Way

By Kathy Mote

The Lord said surrender is the quickest way through every opportunity to trust. It is how His will is embraced in our heart. We trust Him because we are loved. In every opportunity we are given to trust Him, we are invited to know His heart. He is preparing us. He is revealing His heart to our heart, and as we learn to abide, we rest in His strong arms. That is our protection as we come to know His gentle care of us.

When You Take Your Eyes Off of Jesus

By Kathy Mote

When you take your eyes off of Jesus, you are aware of everything else. Because everything else is what you let into your heart, when you speak, that is what you express. Everything but Jesus, who gives you Life, is what you are all about.

I see this all around me, people not trusting Him are not standing strong in the storms. They are truly adrift, absorbing what is going on but ignorant of Him. They do not rest in His arms, so they cannot abide the times, not having the peace He provides. They don't seem to know Him, even though they are His child.

The heart of any relationship is the love that is shared between two hearts. If we belong to Him, we belong in His arms. In Him is how we abide. If we do not turn to Him, we will be swept away by everything that is going on, remaining ignorant of His heart because we didn't give Him ours.

We Can’t Imagine

By Kathy Mote

The Lord said, “We can't imagine all that He is giving us, so we can't pick what we will receive from what we know.” It doesn't work that way. What He is breathing into us is the Life in Him. We just have to trust Him.

Something

By Kathy Mote

Something I have learned lately is not to be so quick to dismiss from my mind what the Holy Spirit brings up in it. The Lord is bringing up old and long forgotten wounds to heal them. He knows the scars we carry, and instead of our memories remaining barren, He is asking us to surrender them. It is His intention to make them beautiful. He will redeem every moment of our past. All of our life will belong to Him.

The Lord Said, I Will Take You To The Shores

By Kathy Mote

The Lord said, I will take you to the shores of a beautiful place, where all the plans and schemes of the enemy are laid to waste. This is where I will show you what is in My heart. This is where you will learn to walk in My every delight. This is the place you have only dreamed about, a place where the Truth is so powerful you are made free by it.
