"Gatekeepers Arise! Receive Your Assignment to Transform Regions"
By Jesse Shamp
While I have been seeking the Lord this year in prayer about revival, the Lord said to me, "Prepare
the people to be a move." I believe we are already seeing sparks of an awakening in the earth. This next wave of God's presence will not just be in one region, city, or nation; rather, it will be marked by an awaking within the Believers. God desires for His
people to blanket the earth with the Kingdom of God. A revival of purpose, destiny, and sonship is being mantled upon the Body of Christ.
Revival of Movements
In these coming years, we will begin to see significant movements arise. These movements will be birthed out of gatherings such as churches, home churches, colleges, marketplaces, and tent revivals. God's power is going to break out in unusual places
and in unusual ways!
The Samuel Prophets
The Lord is preparing young prophets and releasing the mantle of prayer and intercession upon them. Others
may not understand as they are moved by the Holy Spirit in powerful ways. Young people will be mantled with intercession and weeping. This is not a movement of man but of the Spirit of the Living God.
is a deeper level of relationship the Lord desires many of us to have, and I believe this will come through the youth. What they carry with such sensitive hearts in regard to the Lord will affect all ages as God moves through them. They will be pure in heart,
and they will also carry a spirit of holiness. Their hearts will be grieved by what is displeasing to the Lord. We must be careful not to misjudge this anointing, for what is displeasing to the Lord will be displeasing to them.
"If My people, which are called by My name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from Heaven, and will forgive their sin, and heal their land." (2 Chronicles 7:14)
The Lord spoke to me and said that this movement of the Holy Spirit will not be limited to the four walls of the church. He also said, "I will pour out upon businesses and release new vision, new strategies, and divine ideas that will release the
power for creating wealth (Deuteronomy 8:18)." Healthy communities and families are what the Lord desires most.
Lift Up Your Heads
There is a spirit
of oppression that is trying to cause many to turn their heads down with loss of hope and uncertainty of the future. But, there is hope that is rising within the Church and within Believers. God is truly making us the salt of the earth and lanterns for all
those who are stumbling in darkness.
"Lift up your heads O ye gates; and be ye lift up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in." (Psalm 24:7)
As the Kingdom of God has been established in us, the King of glory desires to come into the territory that you are called to occupy. The King of glory desires to pass through you as a gate to be His dominion in the earth. God is raising up remnants
to shake regions and cities, for there are places in the earth that the Lord desires to transform.
The Lord spoke to my heart this season and said, "As My people learn to walk in My dominion, it will be
as the land of Goshen. 'You shall live in the land of Goshen, and you shall be near Me, you and your children, and your children's children and your flocks and your herds and all that you have' (Genesis 45:10)."
Goshen was a place in Egypt that God used for the children of Israel to dwell in during a time of judgment and famine, a place where God protected, empowered, and prospered His people. I believe Goshen is the place where we find Him as Provider
and Protector, and when we also begin to tap into the economy of Heaven. The Lord desires for you to live in the place of Goshen as His clouds surround your family.
"In the light of the king's of countenance
is life; and his favor is like a cloud of latter rain." (Proverbs 16:15)
God is mantling men and women with heavenly assignments
for regions, cities, and territories.
"And the key of the house of David will I lay upon his shoulder; so he shall open, and no one shall shut; and he shall shut, and no one shall open." (Isaiah 22:22)
The key of David is a spiritual key that unlocks city gates and causes a flood of the Lord's presence to come, resulting in harvest!
Prophets Are Gatekeepers
Saul and his servant were looking for a renowned seer in Israel; they eventually found him at the entrance of the gate of the city. Samuel was a gatekeeper in the region: "Then Saul drew near to Samuel in the gate,
and said, 'Tell me, I pray thee, where the seer's house is.' And Samuel answered Saul, and said, 'I am the seer...'" (1 Samuel 9:18-19).
Saul was anointed by Samuel and was told to go to the hill of the
Lord where he was met by a company of prophets: "And when they came thither to the hill, behold, a company of prophets met him; and the Spirit of God came upon him, and he prophesied among them" (1 Samuel 10:10).
The Fear of Man
The Lord is calling prophets to a place of authority and dominion which will come with a high price. We cannot carry the fear of man or popular opinion into this dimension of
dominion where God desires for us to enter. Saul's greatest hindrance was the fear of man. He was anointed just as we are gifted, yet the fear of man gripped his heart.
I believe God places men and women
in places of influence, and when that happens, there comes the temptation to become more pleasing to people than to God in order to remain in that position. It is a man-pleasing spirit that strips a prophet of their dominion. That same spirit prevented Saul
from allowing himself to be fully immersed in the dimension of dominion which God had set aside for him. Though Saul was gifted, he died in battle lacking the one thing necessary for that next stage of his calling and destiny.
God's gifts make room for us; however, we cannot build on our gifts alone. We must allow God to develop His character within us in order to receive a heart that is obedient only to the Lord and that is a blessing to others, as well as the maturing
of the anointing in our lives. The desire of God's heart is for us to grow into the mantle He has placed upon us and to see us fulfill the assignment which He has entrusted us with.
Fill Your Horn
The Lord instructed Samuel to fill his horn with oil, for his mission was to anoint another in Saul's place:
"And the Lord said unto Samuel,
'How long wilt thou mourn for Saul, seeing I have rejected him from reigning over Israel? Fill thine horn with oil, and go, I will send thee to Jesse the Bethlehemite: for I have provided Me a king among his son'... Then Samuel took the horn of oil, and anointed
him in the midst of his brethren: and the Spirit of the Lord came upon David from that day forward..." (1 Samuel 16:1, 13)
Saul was anointed by Samuel, and David was anointed by Samuel. Saul was anointed
with a vial of oil, but David was anointed with the horn of an ox. The horn of an ox represents the strength and power of the animal, and is a type of anointing that the Lord anoints us with! David declared, "...My horn You have exalted like a wild ox; I have
been anointed with fresh oil" (Psalm 92:10).
God is not looking for our gifts alone; He is looking for a people that will become His habitation. In doing so, they will become a people of dominion! When
we create room for Him in our lives, we receive dominion.
David's Consecrated Vow
David's earnest prayer from his heart was a vow he gave the Lord:
"Surely I will not go into the chamber of my house, or go up to the comfort of my bed; I will not give sleep to my yes or slumber to my eyelids, until I find a place for the Lord..." (Psalm 132:3-5). And the Lord said, "There I will make the horn of David
grow; I will prepare a lamp for My Anointed. His enemies I will clothe with shame, but upon Himself His crown shall flourish" (Psalm 132:17-18).
Dominion for the Hour
Are you one that God can trust with dominion? Exodus 33:11 states, "And the Lord spoke to Moses face to face, as if one should speak to his friend; and he retired into the camp: but his servant Joshua the son of Naue, a young man, departed not forth
from the tabernacle."
Although Joshua had impartation from Moses and the wisdom of Moses, there was something that Moses was not able to give Joshua. That is why Joshua lingered inside the tabernacle in
the presence of God. There are certain things only God gives to us that anointed men and women cannot give. Joshua's heart to serve and please the Lord caused him to enter into that place of dominion. God desires a people of habitation, a people whom He can
entrust with mantles, assignments, and godly dominion. He is longing for a people who will become His habitation!
