If God is for me . . . who can be against me?

Encounters with the Lord . . .

I Absolutely Love This Image. I Have Pictured It In My Mind So Many Times As I Have Personally Felt Those Arms And
Warmth Around … | Prophetic art, Jesus art, Jesus

There is a remnant of believers who have an insatiable hunger for the things of God. They have experienced His supernatural intervention and they want to know Him more. They long for encounters where the presence of God fills their rooms as they get caught up in the Shekinah glory cloud. They’ve experienced Jesus favor beyond measure but they are yearning for yet another touch from heaven. Throughout the bible we read about phenomenal encounters that hungry people had with the King of Glory. Some were willing to sacrifice everything for the Lord. Abraham was about to sacrifice his only son for God.

In the book of Exodus chapter 33, whenever Moses went out to the tabernacle, the pillar of cloud descended and stood at the door and the Lord spoke to him. He spoke to him face to face, as a man speaks to his friend. Moses said to God; " if Your Presence does not go with us, do not bring us up from here". The Lord replied, "This very thing that you have spoken I will do, for you have found favor in My sight, and I know you by name." Moses replied, "Please, show me Your glory."

Another prophet who had a calling and a passion for His presence was the Prophet Elisha. He slaughtered his yolk of oxen and burned his plowing equipment to cook the meat and feed the people. He then set out to follow Elijah. He asked Elijah for a double portion of his anointing and he received it when the Lord took Elijah up in a whirlwind. For those of you who sacrificed everything, the Lord says: I will honor your sacrifice. Jacob wrestled with an angel and said “I won’t let you go until you bless me”. The Lord says to you who have been relentlessly wrestling with God: Your perseverance will surely be rewarded.

There was a man named Zacchaeus who was so desperate to see Jesus that he climbed a Sycamore tree just to watch Him walk by. When Jesus saw him he said “I will come to your house to visit you today”. Those of you who are desperate to see Jesus will soon have a visitation from Him. For those women who are like the woman who desperately pushed through the crowd to touch Jesus cloak, the Lord says to you; your faith has made you whole.

There are others of you who are desperate for a touch from Jesus just as the men who brought a paraplegic to Him. The crowds were so large that they couldn’t get in the room where He was staying. They tore off the roof and lowered the man down on a stretcher. Jesus said “your sins are forgiven and the man was healed. The Lord says to those of you who continually bring your family and friends before Him in intercession, your prayers have been heard on high. I will heal them and forgive their sins.

There are some of you who are so hungry for Jesus that you’ve left everything to follow Him. The Lord says to you (just as He said to Peter) For anyone who has left behind their home and property, leaving family, brothers or sisters, mothers or fathers, or children for my sake, they will be repaid a hundred times over and will inherit eternal life. But many who push themselves to be first will find themselves last. And those who are willing to be last will find themselves to be first.”

Jesus is a rewarder for those who are hungry and diligently seek Him and He is searching for those who are desperate for Him. For those of you who are hungering for righteous, "You shall be filled” says the Lord.

1 Kings 19:21

So Elisha left him and went back. He took his yoke of oxen and slaughtered them. He burned the plowing equipment to cook the meat and gave it to the people, and they ate. Then he set out to follow Elijah and became his servant.

Psalm 63:1-2 (TPT)

O God of my life, I’m lovesick for you in this weary wilderness. I thirst with the deepest longings to love you more, with cravings in my heart that can’t be described. Such yearning grips my soul for you, my God! I’m energized every time I enter your heavenly sanctuary to seek more of your power and drink in more of your glory.

John 7:37

Then on the most important day of the feast, the last day, Jesus stood and shouted out to the crowds—“All you thirsty ones, come to me! Come to me and drink! Believe in me so that rivers of living water will burst out from within you, flowing from your innermost being, just like the Scripture says!”
