"Reflections Upon Reflections" [of The Father's Heart]

        ...."You, in Your great compassion, did not forsake them in the wilderness; The pillar of cloud did not leave them by day, to guide them on their way, or the pillar of fire by night, to light for them the way in which they were to go".... Nehemiah 9:19 NASB

VISION:   I saw a person standing on an oval track [of the track and field variety]. On the track there were various hurdles. I saw the person standing in front of one of the hurdles just simply looking at it - thinking that it was insurmountable.

The Father spoke to me and said:

____The "person" in the vision is representative of many of those who are seeking to fulfill the fullness of their destiny in Christ.

        The "oval track" is representative of the "race" that each one of My precious children are called to.

        The "hurdles" represent both the hindrances of the Enemy and any ground of fear and pride still remaining in one's heart.

        The fact that the person was standing still and "looking at" the hurdle [obstacle, hindrance] is representative of the fact that many have allowed themselves to become stagnant [through the work of a "spirit of lethargy"] and passive in an area of their walk. Their eyes have been lowered to view the hurdle rather than the higher reality of My Word [the "finished" work of My Dear Son].

        Because of these things, they have lacked the "spiritual momentum" to leap over the hurdle[s] in front of them. Therefore, it is of the utmost importance that they [those who have allowed themselves to be "hindered"] begin to "run" the true race - which is a race "propelled" by faith [which is activated and energized by Love], trust and obedience.

"Propel" - to drive, or cause to move, forward or onward; to impel or urge onward;

Words of prophecy:

"Lethargy" - the quality or state of being drowsy and dull, listless and unenergetic; indifferent; lazy; apathetic or sluggish activity;

Gk: "lethargos" - forgetful;

*____A "spirit of lethargy" attempts to produce a state of "indifference" [apathy - lack of devotion]. The "physical symptoms" include excessive drowsiness or abnormally deep sleep. "Food intake" [both physical and spiritual - excessive physical food intake and lack of spiritual food intake] is a key "tool" in any effective attack that "they" [the evil spirits] attempt. When one of My children experiences an attack by this "spirit" they must simply "forge" ahead in perfect obedience ignoring the "physical symptoms", and as they speak the words that will take authority over this spirit the anointing that abides within them shall surely "crush" the attack and drive that "spirit" into oblivion!

        ...."Do you not know that in a race all the runners compete, but [only] one receives the prize? So run [your race] that you may lay hold [of the prize] and make it yours".... 1 Corinthians 9:24 The Amplified Translation

____ ...."let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, fixing our eyes on Jesus [the Word of God], the author and perfecter of faith".... Hebrews 12:1-2 NASB

        ...."Therefore we do not become discouraged (utterly spiritless, exhausted, and wearied out through fear). Though our outer man is [progressively] decaying and wasting away, yet our inner self is being [progressively] renewed day after day. For our light, momentary affliction (this slight distress of the passing hour) is ever more and more abundantly preparing and producing and achieving for us an everlasting weight of glory [beyond all measure, excessively surpassing all comparisons and all calculations, a vast and transcendent glory and blessedness never to cease!], Since we consider and look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen; for the things that are visible are temporal (brief and fleeting), but the things that are invisible are deathless and everlasting".... 2 Corinthians 4:16-18 The Amplified Translation

Prayer of Proclamation:

____Father, we thank You and praise You that You are constantly refining us with the fire of Your perfect Love towards us. We thank You that You are confronting everything within us that is a hindrance to us entering into the fullness of our true Kingdom-position and destiny, in Christ - and we declare all of these things DONE [on an ongoing basis], in Jesus' Name. Amen.
