"I Heard the Lord Say: Pick Up the Promises Again!"
By Lana Vawser
Recently, I had an encounter with the
Lord where He showed me many in the Body of Christ who have laid down promises that He had given them because of weariness. There was a complacency and almost a void of hope regarding these promises. The ongoing battles have left many of God's people in a
place of deep discouragement.
Pick Up Your Promises Again! The Lord Is Faithful
Then I heard the Lord say: "PICK UP THE PROMISES AGAIN. BELIEVE AGAIN! I AM FAITHFUL.”
The words of Isaiah 55:10-11 (ESV) resounded loudly in the spirit:
"For as the rain and the snow come down from Heaven and do not return there but water the earth, making it bring forth and sprout, giving seed to
the sower and bread to the eater, so shall My word be that goes out from My mouth; it shall not return to Me empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose, and shall succeed in the thing for which I sent it.”
Lord is faithful. He is faithful to accomplish that which He has spoken. Shake off the dust and rise again. The Lord is restoring hope and restoring strength; calling His people to trust and sow into His faithfulness.
Great Opposition to Great Fulfillment
The Lord showed me that the enemy came with an assault against many of God's people through intimidation and battle after battle to bring discouragement and weariness. The enemy did this
because he knows that the manifestation of God's promises and faithfulness is imminent, and will burst forth into the lives of Believers.
The enemy has been working hard to try and bring many into this place of discouragement
and despair, while also attempting to steal their focus through distraction; but despite this, the Lord is bringing forth significant manifestations of His promises. He is also positioning His people in this 'awakening' so that they can move into their destiny
like never before.
Many of the promises which have faced the greatest level of opposition and contention are the very promises that are deeply connected (in more ways than you understand) to the assignments from the Lord over
your life. As the manifestation of these promises come forth, the Lord will cause a great unfolding of His new assignments, blueprints and plans for your life in this new era.
if in the last few months you have laid down some big promises, I exhort you to repent and rise again, renewing your hope in God, for hope in God does not disappoint.
"Why are you cast down, O my soul, and why are you in turmoil
within me? Hope in God; for I shall again praise Him, my salvation and my God." (Psalm 42:11, ESV)
"So I say to my soul, 'Don't be discouraged. Don't be disturbed. For I know my God will break through for me.' Then I'll have
plenty of reasons to praise Him all over again. Yes, He is my saving grace!" (Psalm 42:11, TPT)
Expect the "New Thing”
I continued to hear the Spirit of God say, "It's a time of change.
It's a time of the divine 'rearrange.' It's a time for the King of glory to take the stage. It is time for the next page.”
Over the last few years, the Lord has continually brought me to Isaiah 43:19, which talks about
the "NEW THING" that God is doing. In the last few weeks, the Lord continues to highlight Isaiah 43:18 to me: "Remember NOT the FORMER things, NOR consider the things of OLD" (emphasis mine).
I have this incredibly strong
sense that God is wanting His people to EXPECT the NEW THING that He is doing. What He has done before in times past is glorious, but it is NOTHING compared to what is upon us now.
It is time to shake off the discouragement,
shake off the hopelessness and shake off the despair. Shake it all off by getting into His presence and praising Him. Shake it off by coming before Him in intentional worship and praise. Praise Him for being FAITHFUL and because what He has spoken and promised
WILL manifest. Consider not the futile attempts of the enemy to intimidate, discourage and wear you down; PUT YOUR HOPE IN GOD. God is doing something new!
Position yourself again and take Him at His word, for His word NEVER
FAILS. The rain of His refreshment is pouring down upon you. Wait upon Him; wait expectantly again for Him, for He is renewing your strength as you wait on Him in expectant hope (Isaiah 40:31).
"Behold, I am doing a new thing;
now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert." (Isaiah 43:19, ESV)
