If God is for me . . . who can be against me?

Focusing on the enemy . . .

Focusing On the Enemy

By Kathy Mote

Focusing on the enemy is not how to walk with the Lord.

What Is The Point of All . . .

By Kathy Mote

What is the point of all He is doing in you and what is the point of Him speaking and you learning to listen? To Him, this is more than mere conversation.

He is creating His image in you and you are receiving Him. The desire of His heart is what He is filling you with. His love for you is your place in Him. You were made to abide in His presence.

He gave you a piece of His heart because you are a part of Him. That is how deep His love for you is. To create you by His perfect love is His purpose.

The Humility The Lord Is Teaching Us

By Kathy Mote

The humility the Lord is teaching us as we surrender having to walk in our flesh is exactly the heart posture we need to abide in the beauty of His presence. Nothing is random.

I Am Going To Share Three Things . . .

By Kathy Mote

I am going to share three things that are inarguable in my life. The devil does not speak to me as I stand in the Lord's presence. There is nothing done regarding me without my Father's permission. What the Lord is doing in His children frustrates the devil

But today the devil said something to me in a vicious, snarky tone that revealed he was seethingly jealous. It surprised me because he is rarely allowed to say anything to me at all. In fact, he doesn't enjoy coming near me. But the stunning clarity of what he said took my breath away. What he referred to was something the Lord has, so far, only hinted that He will give us. I cannot imagine it.

As I sat there pondering what was said to me, I waited for the Lord to reveal His purpose in allowing me to hear it. My Father said, You frustrate the devil. That is why he heckles you so. He hates that I will give you such a beauty he has never had and he hates that he cannot take it from you.

As He Speaks To Us

By Kathy Mote

As He speaks to us, the Lord is teaching us to hear Him. He is also revealing that we are not carnal, which is to 'be' without Him. I would like to share one experience I had. I was in the grocery store, and the cornstarch caught my eye.

I stopped and looked at the little yellow box and remembered I had three in my cupboard. It was then that the Lord said, Get more. In His tone I heard concern for my well being.

I obeyed, and put one in my cart, even though I didn't understand why. He glanced at the little yellow box in my cart and said, More. Get more. So I got two, but again He said, Get more. I ended up with ten, feeling content that I had obeyed Him. Later He showed me that what I had felt was HIS pleasure in having provided for me.

One month later there was no little yellow boxes to be found because the supply chain had been broken. For months it remained broken. But the Lord knew exactly what was about to take place, and He looked out for me. I was able to make my beloved gravy and thicken my soups and sauces.

The day I opened the last box was when I saw more little yellow boxes on the grocery store shelf. He had provided for me exactly how much I needed.

He also taught me not to make any decision (great or small) based on what I knew of my current situation. Knowing my present is not the same thing as knowing my future, which is what He knows. My only decision is to remain in His presence as I obey Him.

Just As I Was Waking Up

By Kathy Mote

Just as I was waking up, the Lord said something to me. Instead of obeying without hesitation or argument, my first thought was to compare what He said to what I knew of the subject. I could tell He was not pleased.

It is not my desire to argue with Him or second guess Him when I hear Him. I WANT to flow effortlessly in all that He says to me, responding from my heart, but that is not how my mind works. I asked Him, Lord why do I always argue? Why don't I just trust and obey you?

He said, Because you count the cost.

I count the cost means I calculate, notice, fear or consider the physical, emotional or personal consequence of obeying, and I do this because I compare what I think I know to what He is saying. In other words, I am deciding, not gliding, and it is my carnal mind that does this.

It is His desire that we trust Him and flow in what He reveals of His thoughts to us. His wisdom will come into us just like breathing as we accept what He says to us.

As He speaks to us, He is revealing Himself to our heart, for it is His desire that we be just as He is. He is breathing into our heart to make us one with Him and that is how we should respond to Him. We are not on our own without Him. We will hear and respond and be filled with His thoughts, and as He moves, we will be in Him.
