The Lord Said

By Kathy Mote

The Lord said He will address the human heart in each one of us. Before we know His heart, all we know is our own heart. Before we hear His voice, we only know our own thoughts. Unless He reveals His heart to us, we only see ourselves through the lens of our own heart.

That may not be the best way to say it, but until He reveals what He thinks of us, we see ourselves without His love. Without knowing we are made by His own hand, our perspective of ourselves is not the Truth. Knowing we are His child brings the deepest healing to our heart of all He could say to us.

I'd like to share something that I know is true of us all. We each have qualities that we do not realize are His gift until we know His purpose in them. As for myself, I was born an outspoken person. People would always stop to listen when I spoke. This happened throughout my entire life and really embarrassed me.

When I fell in love with a quiet man, I met his family. They were all very reserved in their own way, and I was too loud for them. I didn't fit in. But when I asked the Lord to remove this quality from me, He said, Nooooooo! I made you this way because I want you to speak.

So, at Sunday dinner when we all gathered together, I purposed in my heart to be quieter to respect the company I was in. My Father used this situation to refine and humble my heart. I felt much like a lightning rod, and it brought me before my Father's throne before I would speak, even on the smallest of things.

We were each given qualities that show the Lord's delight in us, and we carry the weight of them all our life. These qualities are often too big for a human life, for they equip us for the time we are in. They refine us and humble us as they lead us to Him to know His heart in us. They are proof of His thumbprint and design and His purpose is seen in us through them.

This Is What The Lord Said

By Kathy Mote

This is what the Lord said. I will do a work so magnificent in you, it will be hard for you to misunderstand. I will be present in you so magnificently that no one will misunderstand.

As I realized what He said to me, I fell before His throne, dressed in rags. He looked at me and demanded of me, Why have you come before Me in rags?

My heart cried out, too afraid to look Him in the eye as I said, I do not want to misunderstand. I would rather die right now, dressed in rags than to think highly of myself out of pride.

He said, Do not stand before Me dressed in rags. He picked me up under my arms and set me on my feet before Him, but I do not stand before Him in my flesh. My Father said this is a message that only those who hear Him will understand.

In All Creation

By Kathy Mote

In all of creation, man only knows what God reveals of His heart to them. So, one on one, face to face, heart to heart, He calls His Beloved to Him and He speaks to them and they open their heart to Him. But there is something different about the time we are in. It is time for His face to be revealed.

There is a scripture verse I am remembering today that says in the last days all flesh would be destroyed if He didn't put a stop to it. It refers to the forever war in fallen man's heart as he runs from knowing God's heart.

At this point, I suppose we have to give the devil a nod to acknowledge his part in what is going on. He is an accelerant. An instigator who reveals the lie. He convinced Eve to use the logic of her intelligent mind to make the choices her heart should have made to walk with God.

He revealed her weakness without God and taught her to trust in herself instead of Him. When she did this she excused herself from her relationship with Him, choosing not to open her heart and trust in Him.

We don't deal with the ruler of darkness as we stand before the Lord. Our life is our relationship with our Father and He is the Truth. This is an inarguable Truth that so few can fathom, that the secret to warfare is to not war at all, but to trust in Him. Surrender belongs in that sentence. The point of Him giving us Life is to bring us into His arms to be in Him.

this is so beautiful and such a testimony to the Lord's healing power and sanctification through our suffering. Much of my walk with Christ is similar to yours.
