The Lord Allowed You To Be Humbled

By Kathy Mote

The Lord allowed you to be humbled. His shadow on you has been the hallmark of your life. It's not a thorn in your flesh, it is Him bringing you to His side. It's how He taught you to come to Him, and how you learned to walk in His heart. People resenting Him taught you, you do not belong with them. You belong with Him. That is who you are.

Acknowledging His Lordship

By Kathy Mote

Acknowledging His Lordship in all things is abiding in His presence in all things. You accept His protection as He brings you to this place of obedience and trust. You stop struggling to express your will only to watch Him bring about His will, something you previously knew nothing about.

Isn't that grand? Only those He has humbled walk in this, for it is His presence with them.

The Bible Says To Love One Another

By Kathy Mote

The Bible says to love one another with the love of the Lord. I would like to share something I have learned from the Lord about His love. He is Lord of it just like He is Lord of everything else.

I respect His love for everyone else, and I respect His will for their life. So when I love someone else, I am turning my heart toward my Lord to honor and respect Him, and to obey His will. In all things, I am responding to Him. Nothing changes that. In all things He comes first.

As I deal with someone unlovely, I am responding to Him, standing before Him, giving Him my heart to obey and honor His will. I would be unlovely to do less. His love for me makes me lovely as I respond to Him. Sort of like being a full glass.

That is His Lordship over me, which brings me to my point. God is a strict parent who does not budge where His will for us is concerned. He enters our heart with the intent to fill and change us to make us as He is. To stand in His presence and abide in Him, He is LORD of all things in our heart.

So what about the wayward who hate, rebel and lash out at us with evil intent toward us. What about those who make an enemy of themselves, intent on destroying His will in our life. As we stand before Him there is no fellowship with them for we do not take their hatred to heart. He is Lord. He will deal with them just like He deals with us and He will protect us as He does.

this is so beautiful and such a testimony to the Lord's healing power and sanctification through our suffering. Much of my walk with Christ is similar to yours.
