______...."This book of the law [the Word of God] shall not depart from [always be in] your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful [take heed] to do according to all that is written in it; for THEN you will make your way prosperous, and THEN you will have success".... Joshua 1:8 NASB

[part 2 of 5]

*____Christ gave us the example of what God expects of us in devotion to and delighting in His Will. In Christ and His Spirit He renews and takes possession of our will. He works in it both to will and to do all His Will. He is doing the work in us. "He makes us perfect[complete] in every good thing to do His Will, working in us that which is pleasing in His sight." As this is revealed by the Holy Spirit, and believed, and received into the heart, we begin to get an insight into the prayer, "Thy Will be done on earth as it is in Heaven". Our desire is awakened for that very thing.

...."So then, my beloved, just as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your salvation with fear and trembling; for it is God who is at work in you, both to will and to work for His good pleasure"... Philippians 2:12-13 NASB

this is so beautiful and such a testimony to the Lord's healing power and sanctification through our suffering. Much of my walk with Christ is similar to yours.
