Can you imagine . . .

Can You Imagine

By Kathy Mote

Can you imagine what it must have been like to be standing there when He was crucified? The dashed hopes, the terror they must have felt as all the religious leaders gathered to retaliate against Him and all who believed in Him.

His followers didn't know that was why He came. They assumed much different scenarios when He said He would rule over all things, bring evil to an end and free them. How He would do this was not revealed, but He came to the cross willingly to take our place. He asks us to trust Him. The Life He spoke of is not in the world, it is in Him.

What happened then was His plan, and so is what we see happening now. But just as people did when He was hung on the cross, we will misunderstand if we don't know the point. You wouldn't know it to look at the world right now, but His will is still being carried out. Just as He did in every other season the Earth has known, He asks us to trust Him with our life.

I Asked The Lord

By Kathy Mote

I asked the Lord why it never seems to bother Him when people are wrong in the things they say. He never argues or rises to the challenge when they don't believe Him.

His answer was, Because it doesn't change anything. I will have My way. All things will be as I desire when I am finished. All of creation will know Me when I fill it.

Lately this gives me so much peace. I rest in Him knowing He will finish all things. He always goes to the heart of things to make them right with Him, and as I learn to rest behind His mighty hand, I know His mighty hand is my shield. I do not wrestle, either.

His Word

By Kathy Mote

His Word to us is Jesus. His will for us is Jesus. He never intended for us to live like the Pharisees lived.

The Bible

By Kathy Mote

The Bible is a testament of God. It even says that on the front. It is a testimony of Him and of His interactions with us. The Bible is not Him and does not define Him. He is not limited to it. He is not a book.

He is not confined to our understanding of what is written of Him, and reading it is not how we know Him for ourself. We know Him as those who wrote of Him knew Him. We know Him as He interacts with us.

We do not hold Him accountable to what we think He is like. How could we possibly know that. He means for us to open our heart to Him and know Him the same way He knows us. He desires us to know the same love He loves us with. We should be so happy about that.

We Are Supposed To Say

By Kathy Mote

We are supposed to say what God says as He speaks to our heart. That is how we are to speak as we go about our life. That is the living God we are supposed to reflect as He interacts with us.

When we go about quoting scripture, what we share is what our intelligent mind understands. That is not Him moving in the earth, for that is not Him moving in us. The difference between religion and the living God moving in the Earth is His body hearing His voice.

The Answer

By Kathy Mote

The answer to every discontent I can name is to love Him more. You wouldn't think that was the answer to all that drags us down, but it is. It is our heart's way of setting all things aside to be embraced by Him.

The Love Of Self

By Kathy Mote

The love of self over the love of Him defines every weakness there is. You would be shocked by how prevalent this is. It is seen as we want something from Him as opposed to wanting Him. It is seen when we deny Him, walking in fear of losing something to Him. All of our weakness will be removed as He fills us with all the fulness of Him.

The Lord’s Presence Is The Reality I Live In

By Kathy Mote

The Lord's presence is the reality I live in. His voice is all I hear. Nothing else in, nothing else out. Nothing in my life but what He gives me and nothing but Him in my heart.

As I Awoke This Morning

By Kathy Mote

As I awoke this morning, I heard the Lord sing, I love you to infinity. Just that one line echoed over and over again and it filled me with joy to the soles of my feet.

But what does infinity mean?

Infinity means to have no end. Greater than can be measured, counted or quantified, always coming back to the beginning to reveal it has no bounds, no limits and no end.

God's love for us is infinite because He is. His love is without measure. It is something we are unable to fathom or justify, and it's why He created us. He fills us with the breath of His lungs. He fills us with His Life, and as He enters our heart to reveal His love, He creates His heart in us.

It is because of His love that He gives us Life and brings us into His arms. It is His presence in our heart that makes us whole. This is who we are to Him. He calls us His children, for we are begotten of Him. Begotten is an old word, hardly used any more. It means we are born of Him.

this is so beautiful and such a testimony to the Lord's healing power and sanctification through our suffering. Much of my walk with Christ is similar to yours.
