MEDITATIONS ON THE TRUE CHRISTIAN LIFE

LOVE IS THE FRUIT OF THE
RECREATED HUMAN SPIRIT
*____It took me a long time to make the discovery that love does not spring from our
reasoning faculties. They never give birth to a love-life. Love is born of the spirit.
____Do you remember Romans 5:5? "Because the love of God hath been shed abroad
in our hearts through the Holy Spirit."
____The word "heart" is another term for "spirit." These words are used synonymously.
____After we are Born Again, we breathe into our spirits His love life just as we breathe air into our lungs.
____There
is no limit to love. I mean the Jesus-kind of love. It is of God. It is having God's nature within us. As we learn to give love freedom, to develop it will unveil to us the ability of God to help men.
____We can train ourselves so that at the first dawn of consciousness in the morning, we will say, "I have God inside of me today. It is going to be easy to do my work because the Greater One is going to move through me today,
act through me, love through me, speak through me. I will not be left alone to meet any crisis. He will be there to make me a success."
____Just as the vine drives its
life into the branches, so as we open our spirits to Him, He pours Himself into us.
____Knowledge has its limitations, but love knows none. How that thrills the heart.
When we realize this fact, life becomes such a big, real, rich romance.
____So every morning as you awaken, you may say, "Today, I am walking in love. Today, I am fearless.
I have God's ability. I have God's nature. I have His love-life."
____Love is God in action. There is no love without action. God so loved that He gave. God so loved
that He acted. Jesus so loved that He acted.
____It would be a great day in your life, if you would let love loose in you. It will mean letting God loose in you. His
grace then would be without limitation.
____Grace is love in manifestation.

Thessalonians 2:13: "We are bound to thank God always for you, brethren, even as it is meet, for that your faith groweth exceedingly, and the love of each one of you all toward one another aboundeth."
____Think of abounding love among the brethren, love gaining the mastery in a Church.
